It isn't always "speaking his/her mind even though it won't be popular," either. It really seemed kind of "nah nah nahhhh nahhhhhhhhh nah" schoolyardy to say you were gonna hunker down and get comfy just because they didn't want you there. Like... you're not the boss of ME! and all that.

Anyway, on another note, it's totally juvenile what those in the Russian forum are doing as well. VJ is for everyone...all parts of it. Kind of silly really.

I stayed to prove a point...no forum is closed, no people have ownership, and anyone can post where they want.

I felt it was important enough to do. And obviously I wasn't the only one. Not that that matters, because I would have done it alone as well.

I think it goes without saying that it's never appropriate to swear at people or "call names." I also think that things get heated sometimes and we say things we don't intend to in the heat of the moment...just like irl.

Some things are a matter of prinicple and we *all* have a vested interest in open, constructive dialogue, regardless of what forum we find ourselves in...
