I did my biometrics at the beginning of March, but the case (from myaccount) still has the “case was received...do nothing...” status, rather than an update to say biometrics are complete.  I’m mildly concerned, as a few people have had theirs updated, so I’ll be interested to know if your cases update or not.  I’m sure I’ll be fine - I kept the stamped notice letter.  Ahh, I haven’t missed this process at all.

I cannot see any updates at all for my case through the old website as it doesn’t even recognize my case number. On the new website it doesn’t show either. I had an inquiry about not received NOA and it does not show there... just have to wait and see... Good luck with everything!

When I try to check my case status, I am getting error "My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered. " Has anyone else faced this ?

Me. I’m facing the same issue. I have my receipt number and I have my NoA, but every time I try to check my case through that portal, that’s the error message I get.

Have you tried both sites? There's an "old" site (case status) and a "new" site (myuscis).

Hi there - I am currently awaiting my AOS interview and after I get my green card, since my marriage is less than 2 years old, I will have to file a ROC. I just went through the lengthy process of waiting for an EAD so it dawned on me - how does ROC effect employment? How long does it take for ROC to be approved/granted? I assume that if you dont get your GC before the 2-year conditional GC expires you would have to quit work???? I am jumping years ahead here - but I was curious to know what headaches the future hold LOL

Never a bad idea to prepare in advance.

You will file ROC within the 90 days prior to the expiration of your GC.  You will receive a Notice of Action, which will have language that extends your status for 18 months.  That letter and your expired GC will be your proof of status.  You do not have to quit working or be unable to travel.

You can start compiling things now for the filing.  Monthly banking statements from joint checking and saving accounts, as well as credit cards.  If you don’t have these yet, do them as soon as possible, and of course, be sure to both be regularly using them.  Also obtain your tax transcripts showing married filing (joint or separate, just married).  Any lease to your home (or mortgage/deed).  Copies of licenses and or utilities to demonstrate living together.  Any other documents showing financial commingling (car titles, other assets, insurances etc).  If your marriage doesn’t last to file ROC jointly, you will still need these items to show the marriage was entered in good faith as opposed to just for the green card, and you would have to provide a divorce decree (or god forbid, a death certificate).

That’s the basics of the filing currently.  It may change by the time your GC expires.  Current processing times, across all service centers is like 15-24 months, so it’s quite the wait.  If not adjudicated by the expiration of your extension letter, you can obtain a passport stamp.  Also, if you are still married at the time of filing, once you hit 90 days prior to the third anniversary of the “resident since” date on your GC, you can submit an application for naturalization.  They would then, ideally, combine your ROC and Citizenship applications for 1 interview.

The above is pretty abbreviated, so read through guides and the USCIS website for more information, and check periodically over the next 2 years incase forms or requirements change.

It is good that you are looking ahead to the next step, even if it is about 2 years away.  After filing for ROC, you should get an 18 month extension letter.  I say should, because many of us have had issues with the letter not being sent. My wife finally got hers about 10 days before her green card expiration. Worst case, you would get an Infopass appointment and get a 12 month extension stamped in your passport.
Since you are already thinking about ROC, take a look at the guide, so you can gather documents along the way and not have to rush when it is time to file.

Thanks so much! Good to hear that there are ways to ensure our lives aren't flipped upside down again just because of delayed processing times!!
