Hi everyone, I filed the I-751 on January 7th and still haven't received the noa. On February 20th an agent told me that it wasn't sent so he would make a request but a month later still nothing so I called again today and they told me they will make a request again because the other one wasn't answered...my GC expires April 7th so they are also requesting an info pass and they will call me within 72 hours to schedule it. This is so frustrating, I don't know what else to do, I suppose I just have to wait.

Is there anyone who is having the same trouble? I filed in Dallas and my receipt starts with SRC.

Thanks.

I'd be interested in knowing if the case that got approved from the Oct 2018 filers had anything out of the norm as a basis for approval.

Not being critical just wondering if maybe, just maybe, it means they are working on getting up to speed 🙂

I sincerely hope they work on getting the processing time to a reasonable wait, however, if they magically clear the crazy backlog, I’d have to wonder, what have they been doing all this time to let it get so far behind?

If a processing center is anything like my office, people spend more time goofing off rather than working.  I’m in an open office, which is the worst design idea ever, so I have full view of people playing mini putt and doing their squats.  *sigh*

Somebody over in the Oct 2018 thread said it was probably an accident that they got approved lol

They think an IO just picked up the file from the wrong stack maybe.

The happiest of accidents!

Yea the one got approved from October 2018 didn't believe it they got official letter of approval and now waiting on the card..

But the strange thing sending RFE to Jan 2019 when people from 2018 still didn't get even biometric... How they select cases!?

A regular RFE or and RFIE.  Big difference.

I believe most cases filed go through a pre-processing period, where they check to make sure that all necessary evidence is included, before it lands in the pile to be adjudicated.

A request for initial evidence means something vital is missing, which, could result in a denial because it’s an incomplete file.  In the case of an i751, could be a missing copy of the green card.

A request for evidence, if issued, comes later when the adjudicator is thoroughly evaluating the file, and they decide they need more than what was filed (ie. all bank statements instead of just quarterly ones).

Similar situation (same dates!) but WAC. I hadn't had a request before but called today and had one filed to chase the NOA

Hi,

I see an incoming mail like this from USCIS. Could it be RFE? :( My case status just says Fingerprint was completed. Also, I have done two-three service requests. Could it be the response of the service requests?

It does NOT look like an extension letter.

I already got extension letter. But I have made several service requests. So I am thinking if it's a response to one of those or RFE... Before getting the extension letter I received an exact similar mail like this saying that, my I-751 processing is going on. After receiving that letter I made two service requests calling the USCIS customer care. After two-three weeks I received my extension letter and now today I see this mail.

Do you think it could be a RFE letter?

For all who have had biometrics already:  did your case status ever update to say they have been received?  How long did it take?

I did my biometrics 2 weeks ago, and it still only says case is received and nothing further is needed from me at this time.

Never got any update on mine.  Still says the same thing as yours.
