Thank you everyone.  This thread is very useful to us.

In the area of proof of good faith marriage - I was not thinking of sending plane ticket/trips, is this a key component?  We are planning on sending taxes, joint health, joint insurance, joint lease of apartment, joint phone bill.

Do we need pictures??

And is anyone else planning on travel during this process?  We have some important travel dates to Canada within the next 6 months, what did you do?

Thank you

Best

Cindy

The primary evidence is proof of co-mingling of finances, assets & liabilities; covering the duration of marriage. Plane tickets/boarding passes & photos are considered secondary evidences, not as important as the primary stuff but good to include.  The more evidence that is provided the stronger is your case.

We included boarding passes/tickets from our vacation trips & lots of photos. Here is my previous post with a detailed list of what we included in our ROC package:

After filing I-751, you will receive a receipt/extension notice (NOA1) which extends your GC for another 18 months. You can then use your expired 2yr GC + NOA1 letter for travel. There is an entire thread in this forum dedicated to "Travelling on Extension letter".

Hm, I called them last week and they couldn't tell me what my receipt number was and told me to just call back in 30 days . . maybe I should try again this week. Seems like you had more luck.

Update!

I didn't get the NoA letter by the end of February as they had promised when I called them early February. By the third week of February, I submitted the e-request just to be sure they have my request in the system, and I called them again on February 23 to schedule the info pass appointment.

My info pass request was rejected — the appointment was deemed unnecessary because it said in their system that I was going to receive the NoA and their deadline for that was March 22. My GC expired on March 7, so there was a little bit of panic there. When I spoke with the agent to see what the consequences would be with my GC expiring and me not having any physical proof of status, they said I shouldn't be worried and there should be no problem at all because I have a valid status even though I don't have the physical proof with me, as long as I didn't break the law.

I finally received my NoA in the mail on March 13. Now I'm only waiting for my Biometrics.

At least it came!!

Breaking the law is its own beast, but I don’t for one second believe not having proof of status would be no big deal.  It would, at the very least, result in a headache or undue stress.

Oh, I agree! I told the agent it's hard to not worry because you just never know what could happen. I could just walk down a street and be stopped by the police for identification for no reason at all  (long shot, but possible). Plus, I'm 38 weeks pregnant — I didn't need that stress! I'm so glad I finally got the NoA

If there is a watermark on it and it does not say duplicate, then it is an original.

Should have a watermark and be on a different kind of paper.  I think it’s slightly colored and “heavier” than standard printer paper.

It looks like that whole region is no longer scheduling infopass. I checked Birmingham, Jacksonville, FL. Those show the same as Atlanta.

Below are the options I get when I put in a Little Rock zip code.

I'd be interested in knowing if the case that got approved from the Oct 2018 filers had anything out of the norm as a basis for approval.

Not being critical just wondering if maybe, just maybe, it means they are working on getting up to speed 🙂

Somebody over in the Oct 2018 thread said it was probably an accident that they got approved lol

They think an IO just picked up the file from the wrong stack maybe.
