Update:

My wife received her extension letter (receipt notice) rather quickly but my two step-sons never received theirs.

Hadn't needed it so we just waited. I called last week they gave me the receipt numbers but said they don't get notices.

Just called today and the rep right away said let's file a request to get them their receipt notices.

She gave me two referral numbers (probably a service request): T1Mxxxxxxxxxx-CSC.

Let's hope we get their notices 👍

Sooo... they’re just supposed to hang around with no proof of status for 12-18+ months!?  Sometimes I wonder where the common sense is with some of the agents!

Hopefully they come soon :)

Exactly! No and get this, when I called the first time the rep initially started with the line "dependents don't have receipt numbers and don't get any mailings". He said oh they can use the mom's receipt notice. I was like, how can anyone accept that? Anyone can just say a kid is under them. It was totally ridiculous and took like an hour to convince him to ask a supervisor and sure enough came back saying "oh ok well like I said they don't but sometimes they will issue receipt numbers" hahahaha

Anywho, waiting game on for 30 days to see if we get receipt notices for my step-sons. If not, we'll have to go the route of setting an appt to get their passports stamped :)

When i talked to USCIS 2 days back, they said they were shifting the workload. Mine also starts with SRC and i have not received my NOA yet and this was their response.

01/09/2019  Mailed ROC package via FEDEX to Lewisville,Texas

01/11/2019  Package delivered to USCIS office

01/16/2019  Received text message with service center as SRC

01/17/2019  Status on https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ as accepted. Check submitted electronically to my bank. Not cashed yet.

01/18/2019  Check cashed electronically.

02/07/2019  Called USCIS regarding non delivery of receipt . They asked me to call back after 30 days have expired since delivery

02/11/2019  Called USCIS again regarding non delivery of receipt. Mentioned that license will expire along with greencard on 02/28.

The lady filed a request on my behalf so i could schedule infopass.

                        I separately also filed e-request(https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDNForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=ndn

by choosing I-751 and other option , before calling USCIS just in case.

02/13/2019 Got callback from USCIS that infopass cannot be scheduled, but they will mail

                       a duplicate notice.

11/08/2019 Biometrics got completed

03/24/2020 Case status got changed to card being produced

I'm hoping this shift in workload means quicker processing times.

The fact that you haven't received you receipt yet is crazy! It's odd how some have received them and some haven't. Praying you'll get yours soon! When does your GC expire?

I’m always hopeful of this, but realistically I think it just means they shift the files from the office most backlogged, to one less backlogged, to even out the backlog times across the board.

Though it would be awesome if they powered through and brought processing times to within 12 months!!

"even out the backlog" :D Yes, unfortunately everyone is so backlogged I don't know if will ever get back to within 12 months. I see other users timelines in which they were approved within months (years ago obviously) and just imagine what that would be like lol

Thank you.

I hope you get your NOA1 letter soon as well. My letter came on the 3rd business day after getting the email response. I would suggest creating another e-request or try to talk to Tier 2 when you call the 1-800 number. Also, sign-up for USPS informed delivery, if you don't have it already.

Good luck!

Thank you.

I hope you get your NOA1 letter soon as well. My letter came on the 3rd business day after getting the email response. I would suggest creating another e-request or try to talk to Tier 2 when you call the 1-800 number. Also, sign-up for USPS informed delivery, if you don't have it already.

Good luck!

Tried filing another e-request but need to wait 30 days after original was filed. I have USPS informed delivery nothing. We have not changed address and the PO has delivered all of our other gov mail, as well as all the junk that comes in our name, just no NOA1. I'll call tomorrow. I hope this is not an indicator of something else. I did get another "we are still reviewing your case. You don't need to do anything at this time."  email.

Thanks!

  • Form I-751 sent on 1/18/2019 from Florida to Dallas, TX
  • Check cashed on 2/12/2019
  • Conditional Permanent Residence expired 3/13/2019

So far we have not received an ROA or an appointment for biometrics. Sadly, we didn't know about signing up for the E-notification form. It seems like a lot of people are waiting on this. Is there anything else I should do besides call USCIS on Monday to ask about the receipt?

You can ask them whether your NOA has been mailed. If it has not been mailed yet, and your employment or travel depends on this , you can ask them for Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp on your passport.

Thank you everyone.  This thread is very useful to us.

In the area of proof of good faith marriage - I was not thinking of sending plane ticket/trips, is this a key component?  We are planning on sending taxes, joint health, joint insurance, joint lease of apartment, joint phone bill.

Do we need pictures??

And is anyone else planning on travel during this process?  We have some important travel dates to Canada within the next 6 months, what did you do?

Thank you

Best

Cindy
