Did not receive Noa so I sent e-inquiry Feb 13th

Got email Mar 1 stating:

   'researched the status of your case. Our records indicate that on January 14, 2019, we sent you a receipt notice to the address on file at the time. The receipt notice has not been returned to us by  the post office as undelivered.  As a courtesy, we  will mail a duplicate receipt notice. You should receive the notice within 30 days.'

 

Really hope it's the official NOA... So frustrated with all this extra delay.

I'm gonna answer my own question...  Received the bio-metric appointment letter on Feb 26th.  Although we received the bio-metric letter with an appointment date of the Mar 4th, on the website it still remains the same message saying that we do not need to do anything at this time, which really is misleading.  I wish they would put the bio-metric appointment on there.

One complaint / pitfall to look out for.

 

We received the bio-metric appointment letter on Feb 26th, even though the notice date on it is Feb 15th.  The appointment is for tomorrow Mar 4th.  I love how they don't even give you a week's notice before the appointment.  That means we had 3 business days  ( 5 days total ) to see the letter and prepare for the appointment.  Why the heck did we receive the letter so late?  What happens if we had been gone for the week?  We would have missed the appointment and possibly been dinged as a no show which could lead to the request being abandoned.

So if any of you guys who are waiting on the bio-metrics letter plan to go away for a few days for some reason, I would strongly encourage you to sign up for the USPS mail scan services as well as having someone you know have access to your mailbox so they can open the letter and notify you of your appointment date.  There may be a good chance that you may have to immediately react to reschedule the appointment or hurry up back from your trip to go to the appointment as by the time that you receive your letter, you may only have a short time before you have to go to the appointment like us.

Yes I understand that but I was hoping that it would change as soon as they sent out the NoA for the bio-metrics appointment.  I mean to me it makes sense that if you are tracking your case that it would show you any action that you need to do instead of waiting for a physical letter that takes forever to get to you.  ( We received the letter of the 26th but the Notice Date was the 15th, basically 11 days difference ).

It looks like my husbands extension letter is arriving today. Better late than never right? I'm assuming that's what it is because I can see through the envelope window it says page 1 of 2, and plus he already did his biometrics. (Acceptance was Jan 15, and I had submitted 2 e-requests for the letter without a response). Fingers crossed 🤞🤞 so be patient everyone yours will come too....eventually

We received our rejected packet on 2/25/19 and we resent it the same day. It arrived on 12/26/19 and on 3/1/19 I received a text with the case number (SRCxxx). Check was cashed today (3/4/19) and we have a piece of mail coming to us (per Informed Delivery) from USCIS which is 2 pages and has a date of 3/1/19. Could this be the NOA1??

I have gotten two status notifications from USCIS saying my case was received and there's nothing I need to do at this time. However, I am filing a non-delivery notice today as I should have already received the NOA in the mail and I haven't. The cash was checked out of our bank account about two weeks after we submitted everything.

I sent my I-751 to the Texas office between Christmas and NY 2018, they received it on Dec 31st. I had my biometrics taken in Massachusetts on Jan 28 2019, but since then I haven't heard anything. I called USCIS today, and the automated message just said that it's being processed in Missouri. The expiry date on my green card is today (Mar 4th), does that mean my visa has expired? Can I still work even though I haven't heard back? Panicking, and can't seem to get anyone on the phone from USCIS.
