Quick update, hubby just called USCIS and was informed that they can't give him any information until 30 days has passed. I'm not quite sure what hubby asked and I don't think he explicitly asked for the case number. Hubby says he asked for "recibo de numero" which I translate to a "receipt of the number". I'm not sure if the worker thinks he was asking for NOA1 or what, but the worker said that he would not be able to give any information until after 30 days have passed. The worker encouraged hubby to go USCIS website and look at information there (not sure if they want him to look at general information or think he has the case number).

Hubby says he will call them again and I told him to ask for the status of the packet and if he they can give him his case number that will start with three letters.

Any advice?

I had called on the 29th after I saw they cashed the check.  I just wanted to know the case number so that we could put it in the website to track and when I submitted the application, I did not include a G-1145.  The rep told me that they have a number in the system but they couldn't give me any information, then told me to go to their website for further information.  I told him that is exactly why I called them to get the number.  I told him that what he just told me to do was some weird circular logic 😂.   Anyway, they wouldn't give out any information so your husband probably didn't do anything wrong.

I don't think calling USCIS and make an appointment would work anymore. But I successfully made an appointment for an Infopass yesterday. I waited until after midnight to it. Usually that is the time they generate appointment slots.

The infopass office in my area no longer offers online scheduling, so you’re pretty lucky, as I would need to endure the phone system at USCIS to get one.

Isn't that the strangest thing! Was any reason given as to why they didn't give out that information? It seems so weird that they would send you to the website without giving you the number. I'm assuming you were eventually able to login with your case number because you received it from your NOA receipt?

We received an email today stating the following, but there are no updates showing on the website only the original received case notification. Is this possibly the NOA2 or Biometrics appointment letter???

We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time

We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on January 25, 2019.

Yes now I can of course.  But yes it was strange that they told me that there was a number generated but they couldnt give it to me.

Hi, everyone!

I filed my paperwork and application on January 7 through USPS certified mail to the TX service center PO Box. Received a notification from USPS that the file was delivered on January 11. I still have not received my Receipt or NoA from USCIS and it's been 4 weeks. Should I worry?? Anyone else filling in January experiencing the same thing?
