I think you are right, I filed an e-request for NOA. What did they say when you called?

I received biometric letter last Friday Feb 1 for next week. I decided to walk in today and got it done.

Still no receipt or extension letter. Do you guys think I should file for non-delivery once it fits 30days? Do the receipt and extension letter come seperated? 

my gc expires on February 11 and I still do not receive the extension letter, call uscis and they told me they would call me in 72 hours, Oh surprise they called in 10 minutes and they programmed me infopass in an office, but the next day I received the response of an inquiry I had made before, that a received  letter would arrive, but I do not know if the extension should also arrive. I have an appointment for Tuesday and I am waiting if the notice or extension letter arrives before going to the appointment ☹

Quick update, hubby just called USCIS and was informed that they can't give him any information until 30 days has passed. I'm not quite sure what hubby asked and I don't think he explicitly asked for the case number. Hubby says he asked for "recibo de numero" which I translate to a "receipt of the number". I'm not sure if the worker thinks he was asking for NOA1 or what, but the worker said that he would not be able to give any information until after 30 days have passed. The worker encouraged hubby to go USCIS website and look at information there (not sure if they want him to look at general information or think he has the case number).

 

Hubby says he will call them again and I told him to ask for the status of the packet and if he they can give him his case number that will start with three letters.

Any advice?

Has your check cashed? Usually this is the quickest way to know if the case has been accepted.

Also if you included form G-1145 in your package, you will get an e-notification (text/email) with the receipt#, typically within 1~2 weeks of filing

The receipt notice is also the extension letter, they are the same document.

They said you can expect to receive it in 15-30 days over the phone. i hope they r right

It hasn't been cashed yet  and we did include the form.

Hubby called again and talked to another representative who said that they can't give any information out. Says there is nothing in the system and there will only be something in the system after 30 days. Hubby made it clear that we haven't received any text or e-mails with the case number.

Says he was told he needs an "acuse de recibo", "acknowledgement of recipet" (which we have from FedEx).The worker asked for hubby's e-mail, so I'm not sure what that's about. Hopefully they'll send some information.

I don't want to be a pain so early in the game, but I'm thinking maybe if I call with him later tonight I might get more clarifying information (or maybe not lol)

When did you file? I filed on the 15th Jan and it was received on the 16th. Yesterday I got the biometric appointment. My date is 21st Feb for biometric  No NOA paper receipt yet. I think i will file an e request next week.

Mine was received on the 28th, and my NOA is dated the 31st.  I have not received a biometrics appointment yet.

 

Looks like there’s some sort of backlog for early to mid January filers.

Or maybe checking another office that is reasonably close by (depending if that’s feasible where you live).

I don't think calling USCIS and make an appointment would work anymore. But I successfully made an appointment for an Infopass yesterday. I waited until after midnight to it. Usually that is the time they generate appointment slots.
