You can also use a Driver License (List B) + Unrestricted Social Security Card (List C)

The biometrics notice is not a valid List C Document

Thanks H-M. I was panicking that I did not have an unrestricted SS card, but I do! So everything looks good for I-9!

Hello,

I filed my I-751 back in late Dec and USCIS received my case on January 9. However, since then I haven't heard anything from them including receipt notice or whatever related to the case. Should I be worried now or should I send an email and ask them?

Does your case number start with LIN******** ? I'm in the same boat as you.

Yessss! It does!! Nothing has been sent. My DL is expiring on the first day of March and I don't know what I would do without any letter of extension to renew my DL

btw I did the e-request a few day ago

I've been eagerly waiting since few weeks and no update so far other than 'case received'. I'm thinking about getting an Infopass appointment and get the I-551 stamped on my passport.  Can you get your passport stamped with I-551?

Check with your local DMV. In our state, you can renew your DL with a passport stamp. Though, can you get a passport stamp with just an NOA?

Problem is, I don't even have the NOA. What I have right now is the expiring GC in March, a text from USCIS saying they received my case with the LIN number on January 9th.

When are you planning to do that? I think I might have to do the same too. My case is kind of difficult since my mailing address is different than where I am right now. I'm working out of state. Let me know how it went

I am in the same situation as well, my filing date is also Jan 9. Nebraska (LIN) seems to be the slowest, I have not seen any post from fellow Jan filers about getting either receipt or biometrics notice from NSC. On the other hand, CSC and VSC seems to be faster.

Are you able to see your case status online?

You can request an Infopass appointment within 30 days of your GC expiration and get an I-551 stamp on your passport. You can then renew your DL, start a new job or travel overseas using this.

NOA is not needed to get the I-551 stamp. The whole point of getting the stamp is because NOA has not been received and the stamp serves as temporary proof of LPR status.

To get the I-551 stamp, you would need to take your:

1) Passport

2) Conditional 2yr GC (most likely USCIS will keep this)

3) I-751 petition receipt # (maybe a printout of the USCIS case status page, showing case is filed)

Now bring to the bigger problem. I just glanced at the availability for Infopass appointment and there is no available at all in the next 14 days. I've been checking for appointments for a few time and I don't think there is one available at all.

Hi, just wanted to give you a quick update!

i have the same issue and I called them yesterday for other reason and I brought up to their attention this problem. I have been transferred to a tier 2 officer and I have been told that the old website will be shut down soon and to use the new website. So if it doesn’t work on the old one, no worries. Hope it helps!
