Welcome! I know it’s frustrating because every time I call them they give me contradictory information, answer to my questions like robots, and are not cooperative at all. It’s like fighting against the wind... Just be positive and things will work out. Good luck with everything!

Did anyone get a text and/or email?

I got this text today: USCIS Message: We are still reviewing your case. We will notify you when your status changes.

So I immediately went to check my email and got this:

Dear USCIS account holder,

Due to a recent email outage, we were unable to send notices about case updates. We have fixed the problem, but to ensure you have the latest information on your case status, please log into your USCIS online account.

So I went and checked my case on their website but there’s no update there, still says “your case was received and we sent you the receipt notice.”

Ughhhh this is killing me! 😩 And I also start a new job in March 14 and my GC expires March 10. 😭

I have a question about the receipt number.  I got a text today saying my case was received and they gave me the case number.  Of course, it doesn’t work on either of the online case status checks, and then I happened across an article that explained how they create the number:

AAA 12 345 67890

AAA = Service Center

12 = Fiscal year

345 = Work day

67890 = Actual file number

My concern is that my receipt number has 900 as the “work day” segment.  Last I checked there are only 365 days in a year.

With that, and the fact my case number brings up an error, I’m in a mild panic that something is wrong.

Does anyone else have a number greater than 365 in that section?  I don’t want to call and be trying to get a human for hours if there’s nothing actually wrong, because maybe they changed their format since that article was published.

Same here, case number :WAC19901xxxxx. Mine does not work on the old USCIS website but works on the new one: myUscisaccount...When I call to check it over the phone they say it is invalid receipt number but when I talk to a human they say it’s valid. Hope it helps you!

Thanks guys!

I tried both the older case status and the one through my account.  Probably needs to just update.  I feel better seeing that there are others with a 900 number.  Mine is EAC19900.

I’m sure it’ll update in the next day or two.  Not like there’s going to be any progress on it for a long while.

Having 900 or 901 in the workday field is not new. I searched the VJ site and found it happening in 2013.

I sent ROC Application on Jan 7th. Received on Jan 9th and cashed check on the Jan 14th. Shortly thereafter I called USCIS and got our case number.

Online case status says: "We received your case. You do not need to do anything at this time. "We will let you know if we need anything else from you as we continue to review your case."

We have an EAC case #.
(They never sent any e-mail response to the G-1145 request for notification, by the way.)
Other salient fact is they sent reminder notice to file ROC to an ancient defunct address (despite we did official change of address.)

Here's my question: Does USCIS Post notice online that Biomentrics Appointment has been sent?

I see some people getting Biomechanics appointments super fast. If they send to old address we will miss the appointment for sure.

No we haven't received the Extension letter but I believe many people getting Biometric Appointment before their extension letter arrives.

What can I do to verify whether a BioMetric Appointment is scheduled and they didn't notify us?

If it will show up on the Online Status that's great, but I haven't read anyone say they see that update online..

Thanks for any input and suggestions.

Eric & Keiren

i-751 Sent 1/7/19
i-751 Received 1/9/19
Check Cashed 1/14/19
