I think it gets marked on the date it’s delivered, which is why there is a delay in when people receive the text (that it’s been opened and intake process has begun) but their NOA will have the priority date as the date received.

So I received the notification that it was delivered today at 10:28 a.m. :(

I guess now it's just a waiting game for my packet.

Let us hope that they process your package the next day. Meanwhile, try to get in touch with the local FedEx office in Lewisville. Worst case, you could refile it. Don't panic, it will work out fine.

Thank you. I'm hoping they process it the next day as well. It was delivered earlier this morning. I'm trying not to panic, but I was so ready to just send this off and be done lol In the meantime, I know I'm well within the 90 day window, so I'm going to try not to panic and just get ready to write an updated check.

Thanks H-M.

It's actually my husband's GC, but I feel like I've put in so much work it might as well be mine too lol

Fortunately we are nowhere near his GC expiring. It expires 5/1/19, but just knowing how long this process can take, I wanted to send it on the first day our window was open. It's more of a mental thing, because I highly doubt a couple more weeks of delay will make a difference in processing time.

Your husband's 90-day filing window opens on 01/31/19.

Since your package was delivered today, it is likely to be rejected due to early filing. In that case, the USCIS lockbox will return the package back without cashing your check. Sometimes it can take up to a month to get it back. Good thing is that you can then re-file again before the GC expires.

In case your check is cashed, then that means USCIS has accepted your case 👍. I would still recommend checking the "Received date" on the NOA1 (whenever you get it) and make sure the date is 1/31/19 or later.

Good luck!

That's what I don't want (the possible up to a month return). But it is what it is now. I sent in the G1145 form, but I wonder if they'll even bother to notify me.

If by some miracle it is cashed, I will definitely check the "Received date".

Received a response to my e-request today:  Recently, you notified us that you did not receive your receipt notice.  As a courtesy, we have requested that a duplicate receipt notice be mailed to you.  You should receive the duplicate receipt notice within 30 days from the date of this notice.

Since a duplicate will not do us any good as we would need an original for international travel, we will eventually need to get the passport stamped.  Hoping we will get an original and not a duplicate.

You’re not alone. I plan on retaining every piece of paper from this journey indefinitely, but that’s also because if it wasn’t for bad luck, I’d have none at all, so going to go with an abundance of caution, just in case.

I’d imagine they would resend an original? Let us know though.

I feel like the original is a 30-45 day thing, based on some other threads.

Quick update: I'm able to view our case status on both the "new" myUSCIS and "old" Case Status websites.

I called this morning to verify my status and the automated system said “ your receipt number is invalid”😰😱😳😳😳. Called USCIS again and expressed my concerns and the rep over the phone said it is valid, but it takes 45 days to show in the system (🤬)!

The only difference I can think of between our situations is this: Did you send your packet via USPS to the PO Box address or via courier like FedEx/UPS/DHL to the Sky Harbor Circle address?

I sent it through Ups to the Sky Harbor Circle address on the 17th of January, delivery on the 22nd because of the MLK day. Package was accepted on the 24th, cashes check on the 25th, text receipt on the 28th..🤷🏻‍♀️
