Unbelievable...

I went online to the USCIS Case Status webpage just to check and guess what, I was able to get a status.

Just says they received it on 1/25 and they sent a receipt notice. If not received by 2/24 to call the USCIS contact center.

Congratulations!Which USCIS website? I have been trying to add mine since the 26th on Case Status online. MyUSCISccount works, I can see they have received but no other info...

I first tried the Case Status Online https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/ and that worked.

I then tried the myUSCIS https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ but that one didn't work.

I wonder why the difference... plus it was a complete shocker that it worked being that I had only just received the text & email like 10 mins before me checking online.

Do we know if anyone who filed in Jan got their physical NOA yet?

Haven’t heard any so far. I mean I mailed out the package on Jan 4, basically the very beginning and haven’t heard anything just yet. It’s going to be a long process.

Terrible News Everyone!

We went to mail our packet on Sunday. We made it explicitly clear that it needed to arrive on 1/31/19 and not a day earlier. Was told this would not be a problem, blah blah blah.

Just received an updated notification that the package will be delivered today by 4:30 p.m. :ranting: I'm trying to remain hopeful and not loose my mind, but I'm so upset! I've placed a delivery hold for our packet, so if it is rejected, it will be sent to Fed ex in Lewisville and from there I can overnight it to me.

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I just can't believe after all of this work and planning this is what happens:cry:

Call FedEx - they may be able to hold the package.

Actually talk to someone though, because their online tools do not work (from previous experience).  At least the agent should be able to get a hold of the driver.

Thank you Cryssiekin!s. I've been trying all morning to try and just get them to delay it.  I just spoke with Christian from the 1 800 number who told me that the delivery hold is voiced because the package has already been tendered. He says that this location gets over 1,000 mail pieces and they are unable to contact the driver. He says he will put in a request for it to be delivered tomorrow, but there is no guarantee.

He told me that if it is rejected and sent back, it won't be held at the FedEx center and instead will come back to me.  Does anyone know if USCIS opens the packages immediately ? I'm praying that because it is going to be delivered by 4:30 and because it is  hefty box that they wont want to be bothered by it until tomorrow if its delivered around 4:30 today.

I think it gets marked on the date it’s delivered, which is why there is a delay in when people receive the text (that it’s been opened and intake process has begun) but their NOA will have the priority date as the date received.

Let us hope that they process your package the next day. Meanwhile, try to get in touch with the local FedEx office in Lewisville. Worst case, you could refile it. Don't panic, it will work out fine.
