Similar case with me. My gc expires mid feb and I join a new job a week before that. Does anyone know if I don't get NOA by then would it impact my employment?

As long as your green card is valid for the first 3 days (the time which an employer needs to do e-verify) of your employment it should be fine.  I don’t think they can demand a new green card immediately.  Also, someone mentioned about an unrestricted SS card and drivers license should work.  Failing all else, perhaps a stamp from infopass?

You and I have the same timeline. I got a text with case# EAC on Jan9 and nothing else since then. I called them a few days ago but they were completely useless. Waiting.....

I called them and they actually scheduled an info pass at Federal Plaza. My lawyer advised not to go because the letter is for 18 months and the stamp might only be for a year or less which might invalidate the letter that is coming. Well he says not to worry if they already cashed the check. It seems like people who filed in mid December got their NOA in mid Jan, so perhaps we might get it early to mid Feb. My online profile says to contact them if not received by 07Feb

How long does it take to receive the 18 month extension notice ?

Should take approximately 30 days from the time your check is cashed.  But it's all over the place now.

Thank you. I would have two days but my drivers license is valid beyond 2020 and SS is unrestricted. So I hope it won't be an issue. Infopass would be my last resort.

Depends on what your definition of “fast” is.  I think USCIS believes they do things quickly, but waiting more than a year and a half is kind of crazy.

On the positive, from some research, it looks like the vast majority of 751’s are approved.  So long as quality evidence was sent and of course, no fraud, it’ll more or less be a burden filing.  Something we have to do to justify the process, but none of us should have anything to worry about :)

We submitted an e-request today since we have not received the I-797 receipt (18 month extension notice) by mail yet.  Received an automated email that we will receive a response by February 20th.
