Several questions as we prepare our ROC documents.

1.) Tax returns - I am wondering if anyone just submitted their Tax Form 8879(IRS e-file signature authorization) showing both of our names and signatures for each tax year versus sending the full tax return.

2.) Need clarification on which USCIS center we use to send our ROC docs. The "reminder to file letter" we received in the mail has the Lee's Summit Missouri address at the bottom of the letter but the letter does not say this is where we need to file.

Thanks in advance for your help!

1.) Send the transcript from the IRS.  I believe the online site is working again where you can obtain it instantly.  You can also send the entire tax filing including all the w2’s etc.

2.) Where you send it depends on your state and method of delivery.  Go to: https://www.uscis.gov/i-751  Click on “where to file”, find your state, and then determine if you’re sending by USPS or a courier.

Hi, I have a few questions:

My receipt # is not recognized on the uscis website. What's wrong? I received the text on Jan 9th

Is it possible to have the biometric appointment done in a different state? I'm currently in Florida but mailing address is in Michigan. If so, do I need to make an infopass appointment?

Regarding Q1. https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

Is the website people have mentioned before in this thread for checking status.

Q2. No idea.

01/09/2019  Mailed ROC package via FEDEX to Lewisville,Texas

01/11/2019  Package delivered to USCIS office

01/16/2019  Received text message with service center as SRC

01/17/2019  Status on https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ as accepted. Check submitted electronically to my bank. Not cashed yet.

01/18/2019  Check cashed electronically.

02/07/2019  Called USCIS regarding non delivery of receipt . They asked me to call back after 30 days have expired since delivery

02/11/2019  Called USCIS again regarding non delivery of receipt. Mentioned that license will expire along with greencard on 02/28.

The lady filed a request on my behalf so i could schedule infopass.

                        I separately also filed e-request(https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDNForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=ndn

by choosing I-751 and other option , before calling USCIS just in case.

02/13/2019 Got callback from USCIS that infopass cannot be scheduled, but they will mail

                       a duplicate notice.

11/08/2019 Biometrics got completed

03/24/2020 Case status got changed to card being produced

UPDATE: Not sure if this info will be helpful, but posting anyway.

We sent 1751 and document lump on Jan 7th.
Arrived on Jan 9th
Check cashed Jan 14th.

I didn't get e-mail receipt notice despite sending G-1145.

Anyway, I really did want the case number, so I called USCIS and they gave it to me over the phone. I called at 12:30 pm eastern time and was on hold for less than 20 seconds.

When you call 800-375-5283 you can get into an endless loop of menu instructions. To get out of menu hell to a live human, do this:

Press 1 for English. (Assuming you want English)
Press 2: Want Case Status
Press 2: Can't Locate Receipt #
Press 2: Yes oh please for goodness sake connect me to a human.

Blamo....you will soon hear a happy sounding USCIS service representative.

The first thing they want is the A-Number. (The 9 digit number on the green card)
Then they'll ask for some birthdays, your address and you're good to go.

Then just ask for your Case number and you shall receive it.

Mine is EAC and then 10 numbers.

I wonder what EAC means.........??????

i-751 Sent 1/7/19
i-751 Received 1/9/19
Check Cashed 1/14/19
(G-1145 Email Receipt of case #: Never Received)
1/15/19: Called USCIS and given EAC Case Number

Good luck but let us know if you end up getting an RFE.  Typically when providing tax forms, they want the whole enchilada.

Hello VJers, Can't believe it has been 2 years and I am back with all of you. Let's start the waiting again...

My 90days window opened on Jan 3. I made a terrible mistake by hiring a lawyer, completely wasted of time and money, long story short my package was delivered to the office at Jan 7. I got a text message on Jan 9 saying my case is received with a case number starting with EAC. I went on to the new USCIS site and said the same thing - case received, processing. However, I have yet to receive the paper notice, is this what you guys are getting too?

i130 (both parents)

2021/06/04 i130 filed online, routed to Nebraska

2021/09/03 RFE received, responded within a day
2021/11/19 Both i130 approved.

Currently waiting for cases to be transferred to NVC

My USPS Package was delivered on Jan 14 and I have not yet receive any confirmation from USCIS . I am kinda worry that USPS dropped a package to different zipcode 75260  instead of 75266 with no information written on PO Box on online tracking system.  Does anyone experience that?

Hey y’all, I sent my file last Friday January 11 through USPS and was delivered on Monday January 14. My window opened on Dec. 10 but I procrastinate too much. 😅

I got a text today (Jan/17) saying my case was received. I added my case on the USCIS website and it says they received it yesterday January 16. So now we wait.

Like some of you mentioned I also feel less worried this time around, but since getting the text and knowing they now have my file on their hands I’ve started overthinking and I feel like I could’ve added a couple more detailed explanations about certain parts of my paperwork, but mainly I’m just hoping I filled out the form correctly lol since we didn’t use an attorney this time.

Best of luck to you all! 🥳
