Our case is EAC between 46700 and 46800.

I got an app which showed many of these cases have been adjusdicated or scheduled for interview. Most at least say they got the fingerprints.

Our case on the App says it is not at USCIS. Yikes.

Filed ROC in January, 2019.

Did fingerprints in Feb 2019.

Case status online says: "We received your case. We'll tell you if we need anything."

Odd that it doesn't say fingerprints updated and App can't find it at USCIS.

I looked into scheduling an info-pass appointment because my wife's extension letter will expire this summer.

No info-pass appointments can be scheduled in my area. So, I think that means impossible to get 551 stamp. So, in a few months my wife's letter expires and she has no proof of right to be here. Kind of unsettling.

Suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks.

Eric

Same here. My husband's case is between EAC1990047400 and 47500.

No update on the USCIS gov site since the case was received on January 15, 2019. And on regular USCIS tracking it says invalid case number.

@Sam&Sam @Eric The Wait

My case number is after both of yours, and I’m still stuck on “case was received”.  When I look at the i751’s in the range of 500 before and 500 after, ALL of them are further along, even if it’s just the “fingerprints were received”.

I’ll be filing my n400 on Tuesday (online), so hopefully that will prompt a transfer of the i751.

Yeah it's so annoying seeing cases around ours/yours moving along somehow. Even if it's just to update the fingerprints taken.

I'm reluctant to file for n400 for hubby right now. We're going to wait a little bit and see if there's any movement, if not then we'll apply. But in the meantime I'll help him study for the test, just in case so he's prepared for whenever we file.

There’s a printable resource on the USCIS website that basically goes through all 100-ish questions that are available for them to select from.

I find it’s helpful.  I’m going to make study notes and cards because that’s how I retain it.

I considered waiting on the n400 bc the last thing I want is that being approved and then left pending as one of the odd cases where they don’t combine them, but, I’m also tired of waiting and just want to be done with it all :)

So, we got married June 1, 2016, but my wife didn't get Green Card until Feb of 2017.

We have to wait until June, 2021 to apply for Citizenship, correct?

No, you can apply already. If you got a marriage based green card, you can apply for citizenship after 3 years. Your window opens 3 months prior to the 3 years, so you can technically already apply even though the 3 years would be on February 2020.

Oh Wow. Thanks.

I am so confused by the dates of this stuff. Much appreciated.

Now I'll have to decide if we should. I'de appreciate any opinions.

No problem!

My husband's window is open as well. But we're going to wait a bit longer first to see if there's any movement on the I-751.

I'm going to be applying in the next few days. I just accepted a new 12-month contract so might as well wait for citizenship and work. Our long term plan is to move back to my country of origin but having citizenship will make our combined lives easier in the even-longer run.

You'll have to decide for yourself if you want/need citizenship. For us, having the flexibility to easily move between the US and my country is worth it in the end.

You can add it after you apply for the N400 online.  It let's you add documents until interview.

Whaaaaat!?  I did not know that.  Haha I have been running around like a crazy person trying to get everything in order.  I finally had everything done last night, so submitted, but I could have done that 2 weeks ago.

Sooooo... I filed the n400 online last night.  My estimated case completion is May 2020.

I sure hope they ask for my i751 to be transferred (even though I uploaded what I submitted last year for that online).

I’m excited that it could be done so soon, and terrified that I’ll do the n400 stuff and then sit in limbo still waiting on the i751.
