Keep in mind guys, sometimes when they say you haven't met the poverty guidelines it means they dont have your documents that prove you did meet the guidelines because they lost them.

I'd be wary about offering advice myself until I saw the actual RFE.

Million bucks if it says that they didnt meet the guidelines AND asks for copies of the Tax forms, this is the case....

Certainly a possibility. But also certainly not the only cause resulting in requesting a joint sponsor as the current income level (since they are self employed and it uses taxes for evidence) is insufficient.

What is the line 22 of the most tax return says ?

Did you sent Full tax return?

Official tax transcript?

What did you submitted?

What actual RFE says?

it's hard to give you advice if we dont know what did you submitted. Also if you meet requirements you dont need a co-sponsor. Yes, its easy in some cases, but it shouldn’t be necessary if you do meet the requirements. Even if by small amount, you still meet it.

OP, this is the relevant question... what is the line 22 of your most recent tax return?

The key is not what's on line 1 of your wife's schedule C. Even though that is defined as "Income", it is not the figure transferred to line 22 of her form 1040. She would have transferred net profit/loss on line 31 of schedule C.

If what's on line 31 of schedule C and/or what's on line 22 of form 1040 is not greater than the poverty line, then you need a co-sponsor.

Marriage: 2014-02-23 - Colombia    ROC interview/completed: 2018-08-16 - Albuquerque
CR1 started : 2014-06-06           N400 started: 2018-04-24
CR1 completed/POE : 2015-07-13     N400 interview: 2018-08-16 - Albuquerque
ROC started : 2017-04-14 CSC     Oath ceremony: 2018-09-24 – Santa Fe

self employment making $24000 probably isn't enough as there are so many expenses to have a business

what she actually lives on after business expenses is what they are looking at

get a cosponsor

and change timeline to show CR1
