Beneficiary is from Ireland? Very little to worry about unless there are issues such as overstay/ban/criminal record on the part of the beneficiary. The “genuine relationship” issue is rarely an issue for beneficiaries from western countries.

Timeline in brief:

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Ohhh, thank god! xD first of all, thank you so much for writing out all of that info 🙂 I am absolutely sure now my fiancé and I will be fine during the interview. I only asked because I thought I had missed something technical, or had to prepare for something technical for the interview that I had missed. But no, we are ridiculously in love and we are both prepared for the interview and for them to see that, we already knew about that as well anyways. Thank you for reaffirming all of that info for me so much, I feel much better (:. This truly is a test of patience, I really did think I was the most patient person in the world. ;~; but then comes this.

If the beneficiary is in Ireland, you should be fine, as it is a low-fraud country.  And fill out your timeline, it really helps others to give accurate advice.  Happy Holidays and all the best with this long process!  I'm leaving in two days to be with my husband in Brazil, for 9 glorious days!  We hope to be together here in the US in about 9 months if all goes well.

Makes sense. I filed In December and my letter says May.

@fluffykim that does not always mean that your case will be approved in 4.5 to 7 months like what was said each case is different, The background checks are the deciding factor insofar as the length of time it takes your case to be approved. Again here some breeze through the background checks and still others wait months up to and including a year or more for the back grounds checks to finish. Why who knows there is no rhyme or reason. That's why we say don't set your bar to high because it will cause you a lot of heartache and grief take it from me!

Yes 🙂 my incredible fiancé is in Ireland. God I miss him. I’m glad to see it is a low fraud country, I’ve heard that a few times before as well somewhere, I just can’t recall. Happy holidays to you as well, and thank you for taking the time to reply and help! I wish you the best with your husband and this long and tedious process!

Hi all! So, we sent off our I-129f earlier this December of 2018. We are now just waiting and doing a bit of further research. But as we wait, I can’t help but have a nagging feeling and question; if we were to get the godforsaken denial, or very welcome approval, would we get either answer in 6+ months time? Or if it were a denial, would it come sooner? I know my fiancé and I built an extremely strong case for the both of us, but I can’t help but follow the philosophy of hope for the best but expect the worst. If I may ask, others who have been approved recently, how long did your NOA2 take? We’ve already gotten our NOA1 🙂 thankfully. Thank you all so much for your help!

We're an American/Irish couple too, the old site has our NOA1 as June 29th, the new website as it as July 5th, we still havent gotten our NOA2 yet 😕

May I ask what you mean by the old site and the new site??(: I seriously hope you both get your NOA2 as soon as possible! 😞 the wait must be grueling, I’m sure it’ll be there someday soon. It must be considering how much time has passed now. Stay strong and look forward to the positive 🙂
