My attorney made a mistake while filling out my immigrant visa form,

 Also I have read some articles were people talk bout calling the CO attention to it, but my question now is, is it before the interview or after the interview, hope someone can help me with an idea on how to deal with it

Depends on that the error is.  Not sure what yours was.

 

You can bring it up in interview or even right when it starts.     We changed my wifes file name to her married name because here new passport came in.  That saved us $580.

Inform the officer you need to make a correction at the very beginning of your interview.

 

Depending on the severity of the  mistake,  it will affect the outcome and how the CO will choose to handle it from that point forward.  For example, if a simple date mix up---usually no biggie.  If you failed to mention past filings/past marriages/etc., can be a bit more serious.

 

Shame you didn't spot the mistake by your attorney when you read over the form for accuracy before signing it.

Thank you for ur help, it’s just a mix up on my marriage certificate, it should be 5 October but was written 16 October and my daughter name who is already in the USA He omitted her native name.. That’s all, so what do you think
