my wife and I received her conditional Permanent-Resident Card, which expires

in 2-years Apr 2009 (we are married only 6 months now)

whats next, do we apply for citizenship now? when does she get a U.S. passport?

Citizenship can be applied for 3 years after the date on the Green Card, as long as the person remains married to a US citizen and doesn't spend too much time outside of the USA. US passport cannot be had until citizenship has been granted. The next thing for you to do is to apply to remove conditions, which you should do 90 days before the Green Card expires.
