Hello everyone!  I filed my husbands i-751 last year in December, revived bio metrics appointment, he went, received receipt notice, etc.  Haven't heard anything yet and his green card expires in March! When I check his case status all it says is "received by local office April 2018." Any ideas what is going on?  Anyone have any idea what number to call to actually get through to a human being?? Thanks!

He should receive an 18 moths Extension Letter (yes, to addition to his 1 year Letter he got after original  I-751 submission) - USCIS started issuing the 18 months Ext Letters since July-Aug. of this year.  If he doesn't receive this another, 18 months Ext. Letter, then you should make an Infopass, sometime closer to March of 2019, and get his passport stamped with I-551.

We filed in June, 2017. Got 1 year Ext. Letter about 2 weeks after submission.

1 year later, in August 2018 we received 18 months Ext. Letter. I-751 was approved in Sept. of 2018  So, the process took about 15 months. And I believe we were lucky, "quick" ones.

If you filed in December of 2017 - as others said you are well within normal processing time. Depends on the USCIS office, but it takes over a year any way.

Good luck!!

Yep. It sucks but this is the norm now.

Not only that, but the process is taking so long that USCIS is now issuing extensions for 18 months instead of the usual 1 year.

ETA: I agree that there is no point in calling. We (almost all of us) are in the same predicament.

If you look at our timeline you will see we applied for ROC Mar 2016 and my wife finally received her approval in November of 2018...this only because they did a combo interview of her I751 and her N400.  Otherwise, I truly believe we would still be waiting.

Hate to say it:  You are within their processing times.

Sit back..enjoy life...when you get to the time of applying for the N400...DO IT...don't delay..it won't delay your 751.

Yes, ROC takes well over 1.5 years, almost 2 years now.

The best option is when you qualify for citizenship (3 years mark since you became LPR, and you've been married to a US citizen for those same 3 years), file the N-400. You can actually file the N-400 90 days before the 3 years mark. That will force them to do something.

Can't believe you are still waiting... I' so sorry.

Since you applied for citizenship,  I believe you should have a combo interview, having both, I-751 & N-400, at the same time.. Hopefully soon!
