Big Congrats man :)

we have our interview coming up next month....can you please share your experience? question asked? etc? combo? thanks again.

Sure...

Our interview was at 9am, we got there at about 8:50am (drove 2 hours from Valdosta, stuck in traffic on the way). Because our interview was manually scheduled the day before, we already knew who would be interviewing us, and who to ask for. Our IO was definitely all business at first. It was a combo interview, and he had our I751 file in front of him. It was the giant stack that I remembered LOL.

He didn't even look at it, but he did ask if we had any newer stuff that we could include since it was from January 2018. I gave him our 2019 property tax statement, our most recent mortgage statement, and our most recent van payment statement. He added those into the file. Then he started asking my wife and I questions. He asked how we met, if we had any kids together, etc. He asked my wife what my mom's name was, when the last time we went and visited was. He asked me what our youngest son's name was, and how old he was. He was mostly looking and typing things on his computer as he was asking these. Asked what I do for work, and what my wife does for work. Then he said he was going to move onto the Naturalization portion of the interview. He didn't ask my wife to leave. He started with the civics test... I can't remember them all but, here's what I do remember:

- Who was the first President?

- When do you register for the selective service?

- Name one right of freedom in the first amendment

- What was Benjamin Franklin known for?

I can't remember the other two.

Then I had to read a sentence - Who was Abraham Lincoln

And write - Lincoln was President during the Civil War. (I think)

Then I had to sign some things, he lightened up, and joked that I just signed our house away to the US Government. He went through a bunch of the questions again (have I been arrested, am I a member of the communist party, will I bear arms if needed, etc). After that, he told me Congratulations, and that he was approving me. I got the update on my case before I left the office.

The I751 part of the interview was the longest. I think in total it was about 35-40 minutes from the time we got there until we walked out of the building.

Very welcome!

Does your I751 case show that it's been transferred? Reason I ask is that originally our interview was scheduled for July, but when I got there, they had to cancel it because our I751 wasn't there... It was only after they cancelled the interview and requested the I751 did it update showing it was transferred to another office.

That great! Nice thing with having Jax for the oath location is that they have both courthouse and non courthouse ceremonies. Seems like yours will be a USCIS event. Congratulations! And don't get a traffic ticket on your way to your oath taking!

Yep, it will be at their office. It doesn’t say if there is a limit to people attending.

right!!! Lol maybe I’ll make my wife drive! LOL
