alittle NVC confusion

hey guys! today i received an email from NSC saying that yesterday they sent my petition to NVC. i called NVC just to ask an estimate time as to when i might hear something and they told me it could be 2-4 weeks or even 90 days before they receive it. i'm just curious to your other experiences and how long you waited??

NVC should normally recieve the petition in about 2 weeks, but you should wait 3-4 before you start getting suspicious.

1-2 weeks.. I called NVC this morning since i found out that they still have no record of my case in the automated system. And they told me that they did received it and are forwarding my case this week to the embassy. let's see, march 10 approval of petition,... march 17 received hard copy of noa2.. so i guess expect it a week after you get the snail mail of your NOA2 from uscis.

I found about 1-2 weeks is about the right amount of time (mine was there in 7 days). Wait a week and give them a call to find out the status. I did and found my was on its way to the Consulate in Rio.

As you can see from my timeline, The K1's spend very little time at the NVC. Took only seven days from the time I rcvd NOA2 til NVC sent my case to the BKK embassy. When I called NVC automated line, they had no record of my case. I spoke with a live person, and was told it was already sent. Unless something gets red flagged, I don't think NVC even inputs the majority of K1 cases into their system.

Don't worry, it won't be long now.....
