Hi, I call once a week to try to get information. I was told our case was received on August 8th but still no case number :( so so extremely frustrating. I hope you hear back soon as well

I received my case number/invoice ID exactly 3 weeks after they received my case at the NVC.

Factoring last weekend was a long weekend, perhaps you will get it sometime this week.

"still working on it" is very generic answer. I'd try to call them again telling them that it looks like outside processing times and what kind of problem there is.

Where are you immigrating from? I don't see any details about you. From your nick, I can assume that Spain, which can be very wrong (Real Madrid is famous, I bet, worldwide).

It'll be very helpful if you can fill your timeline and profile.

Thank you for letting me know. Yes i completed my timeline.

That's really long time. We waited a little bit over three weeks.

Yes, call. Case number may not be generated but you can ask if it is and when nvc received your case

The case status will change to sent to the state department. Expect at least a week for the status to change. Our i130 was approved on 7/29 and our case was sent to the nvc on 8/7.

I havent gotten my case number yet, what about you? Did you get it, we called them and they said they are backlogged.

I called today too after many attempts, they told me they were backlogged as well. They entered my case into the system 2 weeks ago and it has just been sitting there waiting a case number 😕

I have no idea. It’s very upsetting seeing other with same date NVC received or later have gotten case numbers when ours seems to be stuck in ‘processing’ 😭

I think the best thing is to call them and ask them.  I have a question,  if they can find our application when we call them, does it mean that  they know that our application is there and it only has to be assigned a case number? Or they are reveiwing it

As of today it’s 9 months and 12 days with the Potomac Center, application received December 3, 2018 with no answer. When I called them about a month ago they told me I had to fill out a out of service date form since of the website was past my Application date.  They told me it will take about 5 to 30 days to get an answer from the service center. I called them on Friday they said I have to wait 30 days to get an answer if I don’t then the USCIS can do something about it.I have to wait until they open to call them today to see what’s going on; since the 30 days was on Saturday. This is crazy I didn’t think it would take this long, I thought I would get an answer like everybody else with my service center in April.  Is there any other applicants who hasn’t gotten an answer for their I-130 yet? It’s been four years with my husband and we wanna settle down and have family but we can’t because of this distance please everyone keep my husband and I in your prayers for an answer  no matter what good or not.  If we don’t get an answer by December I might just move over there in Germany which it’ll be a really big step for us.

Hi everyone!

Hope all of you are moving forward in this process and that we do not get stuck in the NVC for too long!

My case was sent to the NVC on August 20 and received on August 28. I am calling the NVC today to check if we have been assigned a case and IIN # yet. What is the status for the rest of you who were approved in August? Did you receive your case number, were able to pay the bills and start submitting documents? Good luck to all of you! And to me and my wife 😞 The time is so frustrating...

I have a question in regard to the submission of documents. Does anyone here know how to submit certain documents that are several pages? For example, my wife's divorce papers from her previous marriage are 7 pages long. I have read that each file should be separate, so do I have to name each file #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7? How will these documents be received in order if they are separate?

Also, my wife is trying to order the IRS transcripts right now, but it seems that they can take about 1 month to receive by mail? Is there a faster way to receive such financial/ tax documents?

Thank you for being so helpful here in the forum! 🙂
