Same. I am the beneficiary and I would like to get in touch with NVC. Do you know of any apps that will allow me to call NVC from abroad?

I have no idea, I'm sorry.

But I thought at this point the beneficiary was not allowed to contact NVC, only the petitioner? Maybe I misread something though.

At the NVC level both beneficiary and petitioner can call, as long as you have all the necessary info such as USCIS receipt number, Date of births, Names, Email addresses etc

Alright, good to know.

I don't see why you shouldn't be able to call from abroad then?

I can, calling directly is very expensive. So on the lookout for an app.

I know that my husband used to buy ''credit'' on skype to be able to call abroad when he was living in Europe.

I am not sure on how much that would cost but maybe worth to have a look. But I think you probably have to buy ''minutes'' and it's probably hard to estimate how long you will be on hold with the NVC...

You could try 2nd Line. It assigns you a US phone number and calls and texts are free

I don't know where you live but there are also prepaid cards that allow you to call pretty much anywhere in the world through a local number. You buy a certain amount and, depending which country you call, you get more or less time. My wife used that to call the US from Australia and it was very cheap in the end.

For our story, look at my profile.

Anyone has an idea why the TSC dates are stuck between June and July since Feb where as VJ users are reporting Sep dates reciving NOC2. Should I stop relying on the processing timelines on USCIS site... its driving me nuts.

Hello, I didnt rely on their timeline. Found the VJ updates to be more accurate representation.
