How important is waiting for P3/P4?

The ustraveldocs site will let us pay fees and schedule interview once CEAC goes "Ready".

What happens if we pay fees and schedule interview without waiting for P3/P4?

Assume DS-160 and all other docs/exams/etc. are prepared and ready.  It seems like I heard it was a bad idea, but I don't remember specifics.  Can the medical exam be done without a P4?

Also, looking at the IV-DV Supplemental for GUZ-Guangzhou, it mentions an NVC Appointment Letter.  Is this the P4?

You pay fees and wait for NVC to schedule your interview appointment for you and most important without the P4 , no any interview can be conducted because you have to use the P3/P4 to go for your interview appointment.

However you even have to use your confirmation P4 to do your medical.

On the IV-DV Supplemental for GUZ-Guangzhou it says to select the "Immigrant Visa-Scheduled by NVC-Registration Only" option on https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/.  When I select this option, I am not given the option to pay fees 😕

Sometimes the system act like that, you may try it again and again , but if it continue acting like that , I advice you to call the NVC direct inform them the situation , they will surely help you.

Let me tell you briefly, you are not allowed to pay fees without receiving the packet 3, and you better schedule interview after you receive the p4 email.

Be patient and wait, once you receive P3, everything speeds up.

And once the members who has the same timeline like you has received their P3 packet, I will @ you in our WeChat group. 😉
