Hello everyone. My wife and I filed i130 Petition December 10th. That was on monday. So we travelled  to seoul on Sunday. And spend a night at a hotel closer to the embassy since our appointment was 8 a.m. so we got up 6:30 and by 7 a.m we arrived the embassy. It was too early so we walk to a coffee shop near by where we spend almost an hour there. By 7:45 we walked back to the embassy and met people standing on a vertical line. We read somewhere on a notice just above the line saying all Americans should not stand on the line rather they should move ahead and stand infront. Well we where the first on the new line so we just work towards the door were they checked us. One ajosshi looked at the appointment and told us to go come in an hour time. I told my wife no. Our appointment is 15 mins from now so will have to get in. So the old man said oh! we should get in. So we walk towards the security check. My wife had morethan one electronic device we were not allowed to get in. A female security guard took us aside and explained to us why. She said we can keep the bags and electronics at the train station locker which is about 10 mins walk. So i decided my wife should go and file the petition while i carry the bags and electronics away. So she succeeded but explained to me that.. my presence was needed cos i was supposed to sign a form but the CO  said its okay if am not there since my wife is the petitioner and am only the benificiary. So my wife continue and said they asked for a copy of my birth certicate but she said we didnt come with it. So the officer asked for a copy of my passport. My wife told him my passport is with me since i went out to keep the bags and electronics. Well... the officer then said its ok and he checked at every documents detaily to make sure we fill all questions box. Ones the i30 and the i130a was checked.. he asked, is the any document you have to support your petition..? My wife said yes and gave him pictures, receipt of money we sent to each other, affidavit and so on. But he said the copy of the messages between my wife and i we provided is too personal. So we didnt submit that. Ones everything was checked and completed... he asked my wife to go to the 4th floor and pay the fee. She paid with her American card and retun with the receipt and our application was stamped and and kept. The officer said if they need anything from us they will email us. So my wife asked when to espect a decision the officer responded "they said i should tell you 3 to 5 months" with a smile. My wife walk away and said thanks. So in general my wife concluded he was juvial. And it was a good expirence. So we are  praying and waiting. I will updates when something come in.
