Well since submitting the application late in February and receiving NOA1 a few weeks thereafter, I wasn't expecting to see any activity until closer to August / September given the processing times ... but low and behold during my morning USCIS website check, we got a touch TODAY!!

There was no additional narrative or description so I have no idea what it involved ... maybe the file fell out of the box and they needed to put it back in. <_<

I'm just worried the dreaded RFE is going to rear it's ugly head - as happened to some friends of ours who went through the process last year (now happily in the U.S. awaiting AOS). Oh the suspense ... I don't know whether to be excited that something has happened or to be depressed that it might be an RFE. Just nice to see activity, I guess.

03/16/03: Met the love of my life

01/24/06: Officially began our relationship

11/01/06: He proposed marriage :)

02/17/07: I-129F Sent to NSC

02/23/07: I-129F NOA1

02/28/07: I-129F NOA2 (found out while checking on-line)

03/02/07: Received hard copy NOA1

03/08/07: Received hard copy NOA2

03/13/07: NVC sent packet to La Habana

03/27/07: Telegram "sent" to fiance to pick up packet 3... never received

04/02/07: I contacted the "embassy" to find out status of case and set up pick up date

04/04/07: Fiance picked up packet 3

04/05/07: I called toll-free # here to set up appointment for my fiancé

05/10/07: Interview scheduled for 7:30AM... Visa Approved!!!!!!!!

05/14/07: Picks up passport/visa and brown sealed envelope

05/15/07: Paperwork for the carta blanca turned in

05/24/07: Carta Blanca received and bought plane ticket

06/04/07: Entry into the US... together again!!!!!!!

08/07/07: MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much for the encouragement ... this is kinda freakin me out. Would the USCIS site typically tell you some description of what came of the "touch" or why it occurred? It is still the same description as when I received NOA1. search.gif

Wish you luck! Any type of movement is good, and at least they are looking at it. Just stay positive and everything should work out for you!

May 31, 2007- Left NVC headed to MANILA

June 4, 2007- Petition Arrives at USE Manila

June 12, 2007- Packet Mailed from Manila

June 25, 2007- Rec'd Packet

July 27, 2007- Medical appointment Aug. 3, 2007- August 3rd Interview, APPROVED!!! 149 days from filing!!!

Sept. 7,2007- Mary will be landing in LAX
