Got my toes crossed that your dad gets his visa soon

Thanks...

I have a question, so, my Dad went to the NBI office to speak to that specific person there as mentioned in the E-mail.  He was informed that they (the NBI) will just take care of the letter of explanation as far as forwarding the same to the US Embassy.  But the email instruction to my dad is to forward it via 2go.  NBI said it's a new process and it's every thursday that someone picks up all letters of explanation for delivery to the embassy.  Now, am a little bit worried about this.  Though, NBI also took a copy of the us embassy email...i don't know...now am crossing my fingers for a sooner and favorable result...hopefully, it's visa soon!

That is normal for NBI to forward the document to the embassy.  And not very new policy, been that way for a number of years.

Relax .. and .. be patient.

thanks, hank...this is good news for us...my dad called 2go and he was told that they still don't have it; we checked 2go website to track it, but when we entered the case number and/or passport number, it is telling us that they are invalid...  maybe, we should wait for at least 24 hours...almost there!

thanks again!

2GO picks up every weekday at the end of the day.   It may take they a day to sort the package so maybe giving them a day isn't a bad idea.

Glad it is all working out!!  :joy:

We followed up my dad's passport..guess what?  Passport already arrived at 2go outlet on Jan 30 but was returned to embassy manila. According to 2go, they received an email message from embassy instructing them to do so. Have u heard of anything like this? What could be the reason?

I have never heard of that happening .. very weird for sure.  😕

You will have to contact the embassy to find out what is going on.

Yeah, I will call embassy tomorrow as it is Sunday in Manila today.  What happened was, I spoke to a USE agent & was given a tracking number. My dad did not receive any message whether email or text. So I called 2go. And, I was told about the email message from embassy instructing them to return the passport. Meanwhile, my Dad went to 2go outlet and was told that sometimes this happens when USE forgets to send the packet along with the passport. I called 2go cust service to verify the details. I was informed that the passport was sent back to 2go manila for correct processing because the first one showed a service type door to door instead of what we requested, i.e., pick up. Oh my goodness, sometimes common sense has to take place. It was already at the destination outlet and just because of that it was returned back to the origin. I don't think door to door and pick up would be a major concern or difference. So now, waiting again. But I will definitely call USE to confirm whether it was returned to them or 2go because 2go status shows "delivered-d by RTS IV STAFF 02/01/29" ...I wonder what rts is - return to sender? Is it USE or 2go (being the sender to the requested outlet of pickup)....then if staff? Is that immigrant visa staff? So confusing...
