What a great trip going around Amherstberg was this passed weekend, and I can't say how surreal it was to know that after almost 3 years of being away, my wife will be back with me soon. I left work right away on Friday after finding out she FINALLY was approved for the Visa and mailed her passport :) I'm reading how Montreal is so backed up with their interviewing and everything, and I just really really hope that no one gets the woman that we did. Good luck to all and what an awesome time this is now.

Also note for everyone: However awesome and insanely great you think the time will be when you finally hear that the Visa is coming, multiply that by about 5,000 and that's what it's like. Keep up the hope!

It really is. We were talking this weekend while camping that out of the 4 years we've been together, only 11 months was where we were in the same country. It'll be nice seeing her everyday and not having to rely on instant messengers to keep crappy Rogers from asking for a first born child as a payment every month :)

If it had rained all weekend I'm sure camping would have been just as fun knowing you had that visa! lol When's the big move?

Well I checked and her passport has been on its way to Montreal since Friday, so I imagine it'll be arriving sometime mid-end of this week, so next week the day she gets it I'll be shooting over the Ambassador Bridge to pick her up :)

Were you at Holiday Beach... beem there many.. many.. many times

My wife lived about 4 miles from there on the River and my family has cottages about 5 miles up Lake Erie between Malden Centre and Colchester... Small world...

Yep that's exactly where we went, been there a few times and it's pretty sweet since it's close enough not to spend hours driving, yet has a nice atmosphere for camping.

My wife used to work in Amherstberg so she knows the area really well, which helped us get to a Beer Store right before close. That was very close, walked in at 8:59pm haha.
