Has anyone one ever had a successful interview that was scheduled by themselves and not the NVC? (This is for first time CR-1 interviews only)

Which consulates allow you to schedule your own?

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

If you are talking about the reaffirmed cases yes , I did rescheduled my appointment successful on the 13 December 2018 and got approved.

Even though my appointment was cancelled two times before and was asked to sent an email or a letter sent from the Embassy requesting me to schedule my appointment which I did and they allowed me to do so again.

Thank you but I specifically stated first time CR-1 interviews.

I’m not asking for a specific consulate. I’m asking for all embassy’s that are scheduled through the NVC. Has anyone had a successful interview on their own instead of waiting the months for the NVC to get it for them.

I think it is impossible.....NVC schedules CR-1 interviews after consulates give them the available dates.....after case complete.  This is what out case complete email looked like:

I am under the impression that for a CR-1, you could only get an interview appointment through NVC.

You are correct!!!

So OP, are you asking because somehow you managed to schedule your own interview?

I am not even asking for myself. I have a blog where the question was raised and I thought it would be nice to see if anyone else had this experience. Somehow it is possible because the person that raise the question was able to get everything completed by scheduling for themselves. I know what the letter says because I have received one I was asking if anyone else has had the experience obviously no one has from this platform or is not able to share. Thank you for your input.

So, it wasn't a DCF or a re-schedule after the NVC had originally scheduled it?  I guess anything is possible, but I would suggest you tell that person that self-scheduling is not the norm.

Is your blog public?  Link?

I will advise you wait... cos scheduling your own date will sound desperate to them.... It pays to wait......

Actually, I don't know of any consulate where it's even possible to schedule your own initial CR-1 interview
