Ahahaha, I had my AOS interview today and we got approved!!

The actual interview only took about 10 min...and it was a piece of cake!!

We were suppose to be there at 1:30 but we showed up like 40 min too early (btw, parking at the INS Office there is free!) and were told to put the appointment letter in a tray and have a seat...we waited for about 1hour and 15 min before we got called in.

The officer was really nice. First me made us swear that we had to tell the truth, then he asked for our ids and our birthdates. Then he asked for bills that we have, our lease and a bank statement. He also asked for the 2005 tax returns but we didnt file taxes yet. And that was pretty much it, he aksed me when we got married and he also asked my husband where we met...and then he told us that we were approved!!

He said the green card should be in the mail within 4 to 6 weeks and he also gave us his business card in case we dont get it!

Oh yeah, he was really happy that we were so well organised, I had copies of everything and I had all the stuff in lock up folders!

Anyways, Im freaking happy...and for all the people that remember my K1 interview...yep, I was wearing the american flag underwear again!! Time for champagne!!

12/20/2005 EAD approved!!!

03/23/2006 AOS interview in Detroit, MI...APPROVED!!

01/10/2008 I-751 send to NSC

01/14/2008 I-751 arrived at NSC

01/18/2008 check cleared

01/22/2008 recieved NOA1 dated 01/14 case got transfered to CSC

02/12/2008 biometric appointment

03/07/2008 APPROVED!!!

January 2011 BBG

08/01/2011 N400 send to Nebraska

08/04/2011 received by Nebraska

10/27/09 Rec'd Application signed by B. Conteh

10/29/09 Check cashed

11/02/09 Rec'd NOA date showing 10/29/09

11/09/09 Rec'd letter Bio Appointment

11/17/09 Bio Appointment 8am

11/20/09 Called FBI-Prints were sent back to USCIS same day.

12/03/09 Rec'd email from USCIS that the RFE was a mistake.

12/04/09 Rec'd email from USCIS saying that I have been transferred for an interview.

12/07/09 Rec'd letter for interview on 1/11/10 @11am in Fairfax, VA.

01/11/10 Interview completed. Passed test decision can't be made.

03/02/10 Contacted Senator's office...No reply yet!

03/04/10 Senator office called says can take up to 120 days.

04/12/10 Service request filed.

05/12/10 Contacted Senator's office again.

05/12/10 Told over the phone that I was approved. Believe it when I see it!

06/04/10 Senators office tells me the adjudicator who interviewed me thinks I have a criminal record. Send out all paper work showing no criminal record.

06/08/10 Leave for Canada

06/09/10 Get RCMP certificate showing no criminal record. Fax off to senators office.

06/23/10 Approved for Citizenship

06/24/10 USCIS contacts Senators office

06/28/10 Find out that I have been approved for citizenship and they are just waiting to schedule my oath.

07/12/10 Put in line for oath ceremony....wonder how long that will be!

08/18/10 Called USCIS confirmed they sent oath letter for 09/17/2010 at 9am.

09/17/10 Oath ceremony at 9am..... US Citizen!!!! Applied for passport.

May 31, 2006 - Successful interview!!! Approved

Aug. 18,06 passed the colorado driving test

Sept. 28,06 got my own car

Aug. 28,12 7th year wedding anniversary

July 11,2011 became a Citizen of US

K-1/K-2 AOS APPROVED IN ATLANTA MAY 17, 2006

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

December 13, 2007 - I-751 submitted to NSC (removing of conditions fun begins...)

December 22 - Received a rejection notice because the form was not "properly signed". Package itself was not returned.

January 1, 2008 - Received packet back from CSC. They are requesting we resubmit the packet (which is already organized by CSC) with a properly signed form.

January 2 - Packet resubmitted to California.

January 12 - NOA1 received (dated 01/07/2008)

January 19 - Biometrics appointment notice received (dated 01/15/2008)

February 1 - Biometrics

March 11 - Approved! Card production ordered (notified via e-mail).

March 20, 2008 - New card arrived in the mail :)

Done until 2018 :)

Woohoo! Really happy for you... It's good to see that you got something positive from the Detroit center. That's the one me and Yacine will be dealing with.. I haven't heard anything bad about them thusfar.

01/28/08 (1st day) - submitted I-751 (Lifting of Conditional Status)

01/30/08 (3rd day) - confirmed receipt of documents thru USPS

02/05/08 (9th day) - check cashed!

02/11/08 (15th day) - received NOA (I-797) GC extended for 1 year!

02/28/08 (32nd day) - received NOA for Biometrics Appointment

03/06/08 (39th day) - biometrics appointment @ 10am - DONE!

05/23/08 (78th day) - received 10-yr Green Card in the mail

May 30, 08 - passed written driving test (1st attempt) & got temporary permit yipeee !
