Good afternoon.  Anyone here know if the.government shutdown is affecting visas being issued?  Cr1 applicant had to send in additional documents the counselor wanted after interview.  Embassy has my passport.  When I checkn the ceac website says its not updating  anymore due to lapse of apportion.   Just wondering if anyone might know the answer.

Thank you in advance

The government shutdown has no bearing on visas being issued at all so don't worry.

That's not CEAC. That's the embassy's website. They won't be updating the website in full. CEAC should still be fine.

Did you receive a rejection letter and then put on AP or did they actually approve you?

No rejection letter just ask us for the documents from a new Co sponsor.  Said we would here in 2 weeks all we have heard so far is the update on ceac website stating under Ap.
