Hi All - This forum has been very helpful for me in understanding lots of things about my I-751 process. So would like to thanks everyone for their contribution on here. I am a July 2018 filer.

One thing I wanted to bring up for discussion (more as a though experiment, really) and I apologize if it has already been addressed in other threads - I-751 case transfers. As many of you know USCIS posts on their website (https://www.uscis.gov/workload-transfers) when they move cases from one office to others in order to restore balance of their pending work. I noticed that I-751 cases were transferred out of California Service Center three times during 2018 - March 7, July 19 and July 26.

Additionally, I recently got on the case tracking app which allows you to search for upto 500 case status all at once. On the app, I went as far as I could, which was WAC18048XXXXX, i.e., 48th day of USCIS"s fiscal year 2018 (which would be somewhere in early November 2017). All the cases from preceding few months upto this date showed as transferred to a local office.

If all those cases were transferred out of CSC, then I'd imagine it would create a dramatic cut in their backlog. The reason being that CSC won't be looking at the cases for all these months that were transferred out, letting them jump to a point in their remaining queue, which would happen to be much more recent. It's a little difficult to tell how far the cases were transferred out on July 19 and July 26 as the case numbers beyond WAC18048XXXXX are not in USCIS's public portal online. As such, there's a lack of visibility in the movement of most of the 2018 cases filed.

Let me know what your thoughts are on the idea above and if it seems plausible at all. Thanks!
