Not really sure about the rules in switching/how to switch embassies....and when it is and is not possible.

@geowrian may have some knowledge on this?

We're on page 20 and I haven't gone back to read the entire situation. I'm assuming they interviewed already, refused, got a NOIR, then got (or is getting) reaffirmed.

Generally, you can change consulates up until the point you interview. That's when you actually apply for the visa.

If at NVC, you just ask them to change it. This would likely need to be via their online system or the asknvc email address.

If at the consulate already, the process is to contact the new destination's consulate to request the transfer. Include the NVC case number, petitioner & beneficairy's names and DOBs, current consulate, and (if needed) evidence that you can interview at the destination consulate (such as evidence of citizenship or legal residency). They will then request the case from the current consulate. If approved, the case will be sent to the new destination ETA: week(s) to month or so? Varies by consulates involved..

I'm not sure how it applies to a case that was reaffirmed...technically it's a new visa application with the same petition IIRC Under that logic, a new consulate wouldn't be an issue and you would follow the steps above. However, immigration is not always logical, so i can't say with certainty that changing consulates here is possible.

Most unlikely to get reaffirmed.

Well that would be the first challenge, long before any talk of transferring the case applies.

Can you share what type of evidence you submitted to rebut the 8 points raised in the NOIR?

Having not met physically at least once in the 5 years or so you've been married (and the meeting/marriage taking place on the 1st visit) would be a continuing issue.

It is definitely quite the feat to maintain a bonafide marriage solely on emails/chat/video calls for the past 4-5 years and not see each other physically at least once during the entire marriage....you sharing what evidence you sent (and you said you sent a lot) would be very helpful to other members facing a NOIR.

(Un)fortunately, love has nothing to do with it. Married life and how you can demonstrate you have a bona fide relationship is what is needed. The longer between visits, the harder it is.

which is why I said most unlikely, I have seen too much weird stuff over the years so avoid absolutes.

There is not anything to do  from an Immigration perspective, you obviously have life choices to make but that is something to discuss with your wife.
