They accept credit cards for visa fees.  It's only $7 more.

According to you, your wife has called USCIS before and spoken with people in the past, so doesn't sound like it's an issue of her not knowing how to navigate the auto-phone system to get a "live" person....probably just a glitch with their phone lines temporarily.

I wouldn't recommend a guest house.   As an American a hotel with security is best.  Serena is the nicest but if you want to save the money Islamabad hotel is cheaper priced.

I've been to Pakistan 3 times and have had no issues but if Pakistan makes her nervous Dubai is a great vacation spot.  My husband and i have vacationed there twice and its super comfortable.

Hi sister You apply for the pakistani visa before and can you tell me how to track the visa application.they only give passport tracking number to my wife.can you send me the link so we can track the visa application she apply for the visa in pakistani embassy in DC

I was never given a link to track I just drove back to D.C. a few weeks later to pick up.  Perhaps visa tracking is new for the Pakistan embassy.  It was not an option available for me  two years ago.

The first time I applied I was not married yet so it took longer and I had issues getting it they lost half my packet.  The second time (after we were married) I got it pretty quick but I don't remember exactly how fast.  Maybe 2 weeks..
