Online status says: Interview has been scheduled - how long until I will receive paper mail with interview date?

Hello

 

I just got the message from the online system that my interview has been scheduled. Does anybody know how long approx. after this online status change USCIS will mail the interview notice or in which time frame I can expect my interview to take place? I guess the times vary from case to case (especially during Holiday times) but what was your experience?

 

I wanted to go home for Christmas (just got my AP) and already booked a flight but I guess I maybe have to change my travel plans.

In my case it took 5 days for the letter to arrive.  My interview will be 5 weeks after the email, or 1 month after the letter.  I think you will be fine.

Just to add (because my letter arrived more than two weeks after the interview was scheduled and I got antsy) - you could call the USCIS line and ask them when your interview is set. The L1 officer was able to tell me the date and time without issues. 

2015-11-23: Last TN received at CBP

2017-06-12: Married

2018-06-25: Mailed I-485, I-864, I-130/I-130A, and I-765 to USCIS

2018-07-24: Biometrics appointment

2018-08-28: Expedite request submitted for EAD via USCIS support line

2018-09-21: EAD and SSN received in the mail

2018-10-31: Interview is scheduled

2018-11-21: Last TN expired

2018-12-11: AOS Interview - Card is being produced

2018-12-18: Green Card received

2020-09-23: Mailed I-751 to USCIS

2020-10-03: 18-month extension NOA 

2020-10-15: Biometrics from AOS applied to ROC

2020-12-11: Conditional green card expired 

2021-05-17: Card is being produced

2021-05-24: Green Card received

2021-09-14: Online application for N-400

2022-05-04: Interview is scheduled

2022-06-13: N-400 Interview

2022-06-13: Immediate oath & naturalization certificate!

For me it was about 1.5 weeks. And my interview is scheduled 1.5 months from the date that my case status changed to 'interview scheduled' online.

09/28/2017: Package delivered to USCIS

10/04/2017: Priority Date

10/05/2017: SMS/Email Confirmation at 11:34pm CST

10/10/2017: 4 NOA's received in Mail

10/16/2017: Received biometrics appointment letter

?/?/2017: Received letter asking for I-693

10/26/2017: Biometrics appointment

11/01/2017: I-485 case status 'Ready to be scheduled for an interview'

12/28/2017: Inquiry for EAD (via attorney)

01/08/2018: EAD/AP status 'Case was approved' (102 Days)

01/12/2018: EAD/AP Card & approval notice received in mail

09/17/2018: Case status changed to 'Interview Scheduled' (354 days)

11/05/2018: Interview, not approved on-site

11/09/2018: I-485 case status 'New card is being produced' (407 days)

11/13/2018: both I-485 and I-130 case status showing 'Case was approved'

11/16/2018: I-485 case status 'Card was Mailed' with tracking number

11/17/2018: Green card delivered. I-485 case status 'Card was delivered' (415 days)

It took me 5 business days to receive the letter and the interview is 1.5 months away.

06/18/18 Bio apt
06/26/18 Fingerprint review was completed
09/27/18 RFE for I-864
11/04/18 Sent response to RFE
11/06/18 RFE response was received
11/07/18 Courtesy letter for I-693
11/19/18 Case is ready to be scheduled for interveiw
11/20/18 Interview was scheduled
