Hi all-

Just curious if anyone/anyone's fiance has entered the US via bus from Mexico. I think it might be the easiest way for my fiance to come, but I'm a little paranoid that border agents where I live (close to McAllen, Texas and Reynosa, Mexico) are so used to Winter Texans and high schoolers they might not know what to do with the K1 and we might run into problems. Has anyone ever tried to enter this way or have any thoughts?

I think they unload you at the boarder and make you carry your stuff through the immigration and then get back on the bus on the U.S. side.

Well, I just accidently posted without saying a thing!

here is what i was going to say:

Kara, I do remember reading about people who had crossed the border like you and E. plan on doing. I know its kinda slow to wade through it, but check this board:

U.S. and Mexican Couples...

I am 95% sure that I read about people who essentially 'walked' across the border. It seems to me the ones that I have read about who had problems (just to note, it may have not been in that thread, butI am not for sure) crossing the US/Mexican border were people who just plain old didnt know what they were doing/didnt know enough about the visa, so they couldnt catch the ignorant officers doing things the wrong way. 'know your stuff' and there shouldnt be problem! heck, if you are really unsure, try calling up the different POEs or just stop on by to one of the POEs and mention the K1 and see what they say, that would give you a good idea, i would think.

any, thats my two cents! give me a call soon or maybe ill call you! ;)
