Our Embassy is Abu dhabi. Our case status was READY last November 4 but upon checking it now the case was last updated on November 29 but still ready.  What does it mean?

I think it simply means a file was opened....nothing more, unfortunately.

If it's ready ,you need to fill out DS160, get the ID number to pay the visa fee and print out the receipt ,finish your medical exam, your petitioner need to give you I134 ,and all the documents they ask you to bring for the interview in the epackage 3 . If you've not gotten epackage, email the embassy, ask them to add your email address to their system then they can email you the epackage 3.You might get an appointment confirmation paper to bring to the interview too

Not sure if you need to schedule the interview or they'll arrange it for you?

  • 1 month later...

We went through AD, and it took quite a while to get packet three after filing... over one year. Please start saving all types of communication now.

i was wondering what POF they are looking for.

I have not idea. We have screenshots of all the chats, we lived in the same city for 5 years, have traveled together, have passport stamps, receipts, etc and they still weren't pleased, so I really don't know.

Go up to the blue ribbon at the top of the page and select "immigration timelines" and you can began to get an idea what others are experiencing.

I just means that someone "touched" your case. No one can tell you why. Some told you to move forward with your process there in UAE but I will give you some information that will help you begin with links.

Don't do anything in advance until the case is ready at embassy and the embassy sends you an email to the petitioner to follow these steps for Scheduling interview, Medical exam, police clearance etc.

I have not been able to find much on AD but here is what I have https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-AE/niv. You should go to your sub-forum website here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/97-middle-east-and-north-africa/ and here is a recent thread for some who are processing a K-1 and their recent experience (see below). Also, more info here from your portal http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=United
