Apparently Trump does not have the monopoly on that based on the OP subject.  I always am amazed the discrimination that appears against folks that chose not to attend a university and they get labeled as low IQ, or dumb.  I can see why the biased media likes to focus on polls that show "college educated" overwhelmingly voted for Hillary Clinton or the Democrats more than the GOP or President Trump, they want to maintain some sort of narrative that the "smart" people agree with the policies the Democrats are spewing.  Well, the subject of this thread is a great example of a college educated person, that does not appear to have actually received an education.  I know a lot of college educated folks that are outright dumb and I know a lot of non-college educated folks that are extremely smart and visa versa.  Using a poll with that demographic is really meaningless.

I didn't mean to suggest that I liked that as a marker for intelligence, nor do I like IQ tests. However it is literally all we have.

How does the OP subject tell us anything really about the intelligence of an electorate? It doesn't. Just like we know nothing about the intelligence of the Trump electorate. We make assumptions based on our opinions.

It's insulting to suggest it for either group yet here people seem fine to do it with one, but not the other.

Then we literally have nothing of substance.

Then we shouldn't make claims about the IQ or intelligence of people who voted for certain candidates.

I was only referring to the intelligence of the thread subject.  I have no idea of the intelligence of the folks that actually voted for her.  Considering she is college educated and now in a position of representing a House district in the federal government, you would think she should have some level of understanding of our governing documents.

That I would agree with

Glad we got here in the end.

This thread was made with the purpose of insulting a single person and her constituents. The single person I have less of an issue with because she chose to get into politics, and politics is never nice. Extending the insult to the people that vote is not okay. My original comment was made in direct relation to that.

It happens a lot on these forums. Insults thrown at Trump supporters, Clinton supporters, Left, Right etc... Even this childish "TDS" thing thrown around lately. None of it makes for any intelligent discussion. It only serves to reflect poorly on those that do it.

I never supported that message. I agree it wasn't called for.

On the other hand, the list of times Trump has made disparaging comments about groups of citizens or individual citizens would surpass the word limit here.

Honestly I would be far more supportive of him if he was professional.

We don't know who will be running against him in 2020 but unfortunately for me his professionalism is a HUGE barrier to me considering supporting him, regardless of who his opponent is (unless of course the Democrats end up finding someone equally crass and distasteful).

I certainly didn't like Clinton, I find them both (both Clintons) slimey. But they are more "normal politician" slimy, generally speaking. Doesn't excuse it, but Trump is just on another level, in my view. I can't support hate, which is what I see from Trump far too often.

My priority is what is best for the country.

That is not best for the country...

No doubt, and it was good that Trump won in 2016 even with all the media attacks he has endured from day 1.  However, Hillary could take over the DNC again financially (I hear they are fairly deep in debt from 2018) and put herself up there again.  She is the smartest woman in the world after all.

I thought Been Carson the best candidate for president, he's refined, articulate, proud to be American, successful, I was dissappointed when he expended his political capital defending Trump, I expected more of him. That being said, I prefer Trump's harshness to Clinton's cunning.
