USCIS getting tough on immigration.

I hear in the immigration process the USCIS is getting tough on green card applicants and those who apply for naturalization.

The latest information locally is that people in the state of Arizona did not apply for naturalization in huge numbers until the latest president came to power.

I guess this is why our interviews are backlogged right? Well is there anyone who has had a tough time with their interview lately? I just want a heads up if possible considering the change in climate. I am not afraid I just need to be aware.

I can’t see where they are “getting tough” on immigration. There were more immigrant visss granted in 2017 than in 2014 and 2015, when Obama was president.

Naturalization is backlogged, for sure, but the latest USCIS announcement was that they will shortly have 3 more processing centers dealing with N-400 applications to get the backlog cleared. After all, the US wants you to naturalize. Guaranteed tax dollars from you for life.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

Thanks for the heads up. I guess the locals must be trying to spread fear into people where I live.

I am going to assume certain locals with certain political views.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
