yes very inconsiderate of them to close to honor President Bush and his funeral. i mean, what are they thinking? (if you dont speak sarcasm, that was it right there).

and im not even a republican.

anyways, they will reschedule when they can, though one would think they would try to squeeze them in over a few weeks. i do understand the frustration with that, but have some respect for a great man.

It does suck that it will take 2 months for the rescheduled interview,m but I understand that as well given the holiday season (days off, vacations, etc.). They need to fit in a full day's worth of interviews in addition to their normal work during a time that has a lot of people unavailable.

It didn't come off to me that OP was upset about the funeral and offices closing, but that it might take two months to reschedule. I would be upset about that too, honestly.

I'm actually going to give @Alejandro_B the benefit of the doubt and assume he did not  know about GHB passing and the impact it would have to government facilities. Albeit, the two month wait to reschedule is a bummer.

OP is in the US having entered on a B2 and adjusting, would be highly surprised if they aren’t aware of it.

have a friend in Colombia traveling to a different city for her K1 interview and they told her in the embassy door that they will be rescheduling the appointment due to this.

See I would get someone not being in the country not knowing about the funeral or not seeing the level of significance which can be inferred from the news coverage  if not already know but it’s all over the news here, you would have to be a hermit to not understand why it was closed.

Being in the US means he wouldn’t have invested in plane tickets, plus coming in on a B2 means he didn’t even have to wait to get a fiancé visa so has been waiting less time total.

He should just chill, two months is a drop in the ocean in the grand scheme of things.
