Also, just FYI for people who will be booking interviews the next few days and need lodging... There are a TON of awesome and cheap Airbnbs all within a few blocks of the consulate :)

Yeah we are staying over by McGill. “Chic 1BR with parking!” is not quite as advertised (it is definitely not chic lol and the parking is a couple blocks away) but eh, it’s getting the job done.

How much time should I expect to spend at my medical exam in Montreal? My appointment is at 7:54 am (random start time lol) on March 21. Is like 3 hours standard? I'll plan to show up a little bit early, too, maybe 20 mins early.

I just had mine in Toronto last week and it lasted about 1.5 hours total (most of that was just waiting though!).

Got my Packet 4 today after sending back documents needed in my Packet 3 instructions yesterday that's fast 😉, i register to book an appointment today and i saw April 10 is the least available date to book an interview appointment. How many weeks from the interview your medical appointment scheduled?

If you do the medical in Montreal you should book it 4+ business days before your interview. You can of course book it earlier than that. My interview is April 3 and I booked my medical exam for March 21 (but I live in Montreal and figured why not haha)

how much that it cost you for the medicals? do they have an option to deliver the results to my home address or do we need to pick it up personally? thank you

you pay on site so I'm not positive, but the lady on the phone said it will be $400 something. In Montreal, I'm fairly certain I pick them up 3 days later, but I didn't ask about delivery since I live in the city. Ask on the phone when you call

It would be better to just get them to hold them and pick them up.  Most people stay in Montreal for the week.  The medical date determines your visa validity.  6 months from medical.

Hey guys!

I just moved back in with my parents until I move to the States, so I'm wondering if I need to inform both USCIS and the consulate in Montreal. My fiance will be moving in a few weeks as well, so we'll both have different addresses than what we have in all of our paperwork (same cities, just different locations). I don't see the harm in notifying them both, and all I have left is my interview on March 13th, so I don't see myself getting any other mail from them in the mean time. Has anyone else moved during this process? If so, who did you you notify? Thanks! :)

Nevermind, I emailed them both and it's all good!
