My initial plan was to book flights to Tx for a couple weeks after the interview, but I don't think I will because with my luck, and having 3 k2's with me, I don't want to hold my breath that AP will only take a day or two.

I read that for kids under 14, you can request a waiver so they don't have to appear in person at the interview. I emailed the embassy today to inquire about that, so we will see what they say on Monday likely.

I'm so excited for all of us! It's hard to contain.

Thanks! Maybe check your status to see if it changed on the 31st? That's when mine changed (same with some others on here who have also just booked), so if it changed you should probably be safe to send (I think!). I booked right away, but I'm sure there are still slots available for March. My interview is on the 13th, and it seems like each available interview day has several time slots, so if you're able to book next week I'm sure you'll be able to get a March appointment!

Ah, that's awesome! So you're probably good to send the P3. :) Pretty sure they don't work on weekends, but hopefully you'll hear back on Monday! Fingers crossed.

I hope the weather's good too! I'm in Southern Ontario and it's been crazy. We went from in the -20s this week to like, +6 today. Hopefully it'll be a bit warmer by the time we have to go to Montreal!

Same here! After the snow is the freezing rain which made it worst. I can't wait to moved in Hawaii where my fiance lives. 😂 I bet march will be better for winter? Btw are you doing your medical there in ontario? :)

Haha, I know, tell me about it! Lucky that you're moving to Hawaii! I'll be in Seattle, so not too far away, but at least the weather won't be as bad as it is here! I'll take the rain, haha. Yep, I'm doing the medical here in Ontario. I just booked it last night and got an appointment for Feb. 21st!

Still better than snow! And milder winters. Closer to everything and just 4 hours flight to Hawaii. LOL.  It's nice that you're already booked for medical. That was fast.  I'm still torn if I'm going to ontario for medical or just do it once in Montreal.. so hard to live in a smaller province. Anyways goodluck! :)

Oh yeah, for sure! I’m ready for winter to be over, even though it basically just started, haha. Yeah, exactly! We’ve actually already talked about going to Hawaii!! So, yay for that! Yeah, I was surprised about how fast it was! I emailed them on Friday night expecting to hear back by Monday, but they must have been working late because they already booked me in!

I didn’t realize you wouldn’t be able to get your medical done in Nova Scotia. It sucks that there are so few doctors who do it. Even I have to make an overnight trip to Toronto for mine, which is fine, but it’s still an extra cost/extra time off work. If you can get your done in Montreal that would be cool. I guess you’d just have to get your results right then and there to take them to your interview!

We decided to be more cautious about how long we have after the interview, so now we're looking at early April..  and it's more time for her to keep working before she goes on extended mandatory vacation :P hope that EAD doesn't take too long..

No waiver granted for the personal appearance of minor children under 14.
My $500 flight just turned to $1900. 👎😣
I understand why they want to see every applicant at the interview, but it doesn't make it any less a pain in the #######. lol

Does anyone know if I will need 1 affidavit of support for the family, or will I need an individual one per person?

*research time*
