We have pretty much the same date profile for our noa2, NVC and consulate arrival. They have not sent us anything yet either but i'll let you know when they do. Its changed from getting P3->P4 fairly quick six months ago to waiting a month or more... soooo hang in there!

Yes, I saw that! ☺️ I’m glad to know I’m not the only one waiting. I guess I figured they’d be just as fast now, but I guess it’s taking them a bit longer this time of year. I’ll keep you posted on any updates as well. Fingers crossed we both hear back soon!

So I just heard back from the consulate. They said, "Good morning, please refrain from sending your Packet 3 documents till you are advised by our Visa Unit to do so. You will be contacted by our Visa Unit as soon as they are ready to process your case."

So, now I will definitely just wait until I hear from them again before I try sending Packet 3 (again). I guess they must really be busy...and I don't want to make it worse!

The next time you see your case update on the tracker, it should be because they have sent you Packet 3.

Given how long things are taking right now, that's when we rolled the dice on submitting P3 and had success.

Hey there! Oh really? I’m afraid to try again in case they say not to send it until they say. So far it was updated on the 11th, 22nd, and today, after they sent me that email. Perhaps I should roll the dice again?! Thanks for your response!

@R0n sent their P3 thrice overall I think, and has lived to tell the tale.

I'm pretty sure every time they email you it updates the case on CEAC; I would wait until the next time after today that the date moves, and then send it.  On ours, I got an email from them (confirming an address change) on the 8th, and then on the 17th when the date updated randomly we sent P3 and had success.

Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear this. You've been a positive & helpful voice on here Meghan. I know you said you were hoping for a late March date so this sucks entirely 😕. Well, i suppose i'll be here for a another year or so provided all goes well at the interview (AOS ETC) so i'll keep up and hope to see you on your way soon. Take care.

Aw thanks, yeah it isn't ideal, but I figure, I'll just stick around here and keep updating everyone on interview date availability until we can finally book ours haha.

Yep, that’s what I’ve noticed as well. It seems to update after each email communication. I think that’s what I’ll do :) I’m going to wait until the next time I see an update and send it then, unless I end up receiving P3 before I see an update. We’re getting there!!

Hello!

I received confirmation of my P3 on Jan.22/2019. I am still waiting on my P4. How long is the usually wait time? Most people on here as I’ve been looking  received it within hours. Also, how do you go about paying the $265 MRV fee. Another question is - my USCIS copy i received in the mail with my P3 had the approved stamp but then also says that it expires Mar.8/2019. What happens if i don’t get an interview before that date?? Super worried about my timeline.

Thank you!!

I can only answer the first part... I have currently been waiting 2 weeks for my P4 to arrive (Sent in P3 on the 14th and got confirmation that they received it on the 16th)
But it says on the hard copy of the P3 to:

Quote

"Please allow 6 weeks for the review of your case, after you send the required documents. Upon completion of the review, the US Consulate General in Montreal will send you a Packet 4 letter with instructions on how to get the medical exam done in Canada, and how to schedule your immigration visa appointment."

Anyone know if the March appointments have been released yet? This is getting a wee bit frustrating for many awaiting p3/p4. I mean, we watched how not long ago when the trend was to receive p3 fairly quick and then p4 almost right away s-l-o-w down to a trickle. I just cannot make any sense of this process now. Now 18 days at consulate and still no P3.

When do they release new appointments?? And does that mean a new intake of P3s happen at same time?

I know, it's so frustrating! I have no idea about the March dates either, but hopefully we hear back about P3 and/or P4 this week!!

They have typically released the next month's appts in the last week of the month. If no one else does first, I can post an update tonight or tomorrow a.m. :)

embassy received our case on december 31 - on january 17th i emailed in hopes of some clarification on time frame/wondering if i could send packet 3 - got a response from that email with instructions and a link for packet 3. i sent it in that same day, in a separate email like instructed.

on the 22nd got an email response saying we needed proof of my fiancés residence and current address (Australian citizen on a work/tour visa in canada - doing our interview at the mtl embassy), he also got a physical copy in the regular mail - it was dated the 16th and said our case had been paused until they received that. (i also received this in a SECOND email and a physical copy mailed to me days later) *eye roll*

so i have two separate email chains now, both saying 'we acknowledge receipt of your email blah blah" one saying they will forward to visa unit and they'll advise me of the next step - and the other saying "You will be contacted with further instructions as soon as we are able to do so."

5 days ago now and I'm obsessively checking my email hoping for the ok to book an interview.

is this normal?! I've been lurking some posts and it seems the embassy has slowed to almost nothing the last month and we're feeling very in the dark over here!
