we rec'd this email yesterday - is this anything to get excited about? or concerned about? it was the first time we've seen anything since the interview in december and not sure what to make of it.

I believe it is something good, I know a person who had the interview and has been waiting since June 06 they touched his case in february but has not heard from them. I hope you receive your green card soon.

The email makes it clear:

An interview was conducted and your case is under active review by an immigration officer

It appear you under Administrative Review. Not exactly something good as it can take a long time to resolve, but hopefully it will be fast.

The way I saw it is that it was not the "waiting pile" anymore, you are right I do not know the concept of "Administrative review" when I first read it thought only in an inmigration agent working on this case.

My vote is that this is something good. We received that letter (saying the case was under review) and about 4 days later, we got an email saying that our card had been ordered. I think it means that someone is working on it rather than "under review" in a bad way.

Martinez I was hoping to hear something like that - a good result coming soon after such an email. I'll stay hopeful.
