Filed: Timeline

Greetings. I performed a few searches on this but couldn't find any relevant results. Is it possible to adjust the AOS timeline information? The following data would be more beneficial than what is currently available:

  1. Amend "Approved yes/no" to a date field as opposed to a yes/no field. Seeing a "yes" gives no indication how long the case took from filing to approval.
  2. A large number of cases are transferred directly to the CSC (or maybe other SC's... no way to tell) without an interview. Could we please add a "Transfer to SC" line.... with datefield?
  3. Once the case arrives at CSC we receive a "case pending" notification. Could we please add this data to the timeline, also?
  4. Some cases which were originally transferred to the CSC end up being transferred again. (Off the top of my head I think one case went to CSC then Texas [or vice versa] and others were redirected to a local office.) Maybe another line for more than one transfer would be handy for this type of situation. In fact, some interviews have even been scheduled at "local" offices which aren't even local to the applicant (i.e. another State), so maybe an extra line for that situation would be handy?

Thanks very much.

If I missed it sorry :-\. In my last timeline update I must have missed this. I just placed a yellow sticky on my monitor to remember it this time. It is a good idea I agree :).

  1. Amend "Approved yes/no" to a date field as opposed to a yes/no field. Seeing a "yes" gives no indication how long the case took from filing to approval.

Thanks very much.

I saw this as the biggest issue so I have resolved it for AOS and Lifting Conditions which both needed this field. In the past approvals were given at the interview so there was no need for this field. Today approvals may come via US Mail or other. In any case now a person can have an interview date, an approval / denial date, and a Yes/No box to state if they were approved, etc.. I hope this helps.

You can update your timeline as of right now and see this data in the profile view for your timeline however until more stats build up I am not adding calculations based on these fields yet to the stat pages.

Captain Ewok,

Thanks for fixing that, it will make the timelines much more valuable.

Point of clarification: in the past, as a present, interviews for the removal of conditions were rare - it never made sense to provide for an interview date but no decision date.
