@ FridayGirl@69, the weird part is how the timelines have changed, since the shutdown ended, other I-360 petition timelines have been reduced to 9 - 12 months, while VAWA timeline still stands at 16 - 21 months. Not sure about the reasoning behind it, one would think it would be the other way.

Because only Vermont Center takes VAWA’s until they transfer them if they are overloaded

Hi Sandra,

I am 2018 filer. Based on the information on this forus I realized that my previous psychological evaluation may be insufficient. Hence i started counseling sessions again with a licensed therapist. I have completed one session so far.

This time I have requested that i need a detailed evaluation of my case to support my immigration petition. My therapist asked me for the format that she can use as she is not familiar with vawa.

Since i was not sure, couple of days ago I requested my attorney to provide that information. However, i am still waiting on a response.

I am a regular follower of the posts here but was afraid to sign up. Now i did, as I wanted to make sure i get a good evaluation to support my case.

Can you please advise?

Thank you!!

Sandra previously stated back in this forum that you can renew EAD when i-485 is placed on hold, as long as the case is not closed, you can renew, I know of few people who renewed EAD based on previous i-485 that was on hold.

I'm one of those cases, but i also have a question? Hopefully, if my VAWA gets approved do i have to file a new I-485 or i can use my existing one and continue from where we put it on hold?

It is my understanding that once your i-360 is approved, you will scheduled for an interview based on the previous i-485 that was put on hold, so if your i-485 was placed on hold then you don't need to file another one.

Good Day All,

I'm feeling very devastated right now. After waiting for more than 16 Months silence without any notice at all (Filled Vawa July 25, 2017), I just now got a text for an update and I logged on to my status check and I saw ''REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL EVIDENCE WAS MAILED''. This has been my prayer point not to receive RFE, I'm feeling so disappointed after so long wait, OH LORD WHY? I no longer have appetites, sleepless nights and been hoping and praying for God's mercy. #Crying.

My questions, please how long till I get this notice in my mail, will it be sent to me or my lawyer? I changed state address/lawyer, I'm confuse to where I'll receive it. Also what could they be requesting and how should I tackle it. Any similar experience ? please share to me,

I will never give up, Lord let your will be done.

God bless all

May God see you through.

@OmegaRFE's are not bad, sometimes is a missing document or translation needed. I had a request for my divorce document so I sent it within 20 days and my  approval happened after 32 days so hang in there, all will be fine 🙌

You need documents from physiologist, therapist, psychiatrist, family and friend that saw your life from the time you dated until you left him/her describing the abused, your General Doctor letter too if possible including your own writing affidavit of your story with your ex-

utility bills under both of your names, joint bank accounts, mortgage or rental contract under both names, car insurance, health insurance, marriage certificate, police reports if any, taxes reports that you filed together for the years you were together, if you were previously married with someone else you have to submit previous divorce certificate, copy of both of your birth certificates, copy of both of your passports. DL or ID.

I hope it helps.🙌🏼 🍀 💫

Hi FridayGirl, i appreciate your response. I believe the only missing piece in my petition is good psychological evaluation. I am looking for  advice on the format that my counselor can use for a detailed evaluation. She is not familiar with vawa and has asked me if i can provide a template that she can use. I am hoping i can get advise on this forum and provide that to my counselor before my second session which is this week.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

I forgot Police Clearance letters too!

There is no ”format” it is only an affidavit from her, possible your Dr and Phycatrist stating your changes in personality while suffering this type of abuse. Anything you had developed like lost/gained weight, chronic insomnia, hand shaking, sleep disturbances, etc... simple! Affidavit letter.

I hope it helps.
