Congrats and God bless! I am also in NYC and was approved in October 2018, so this is also giving me hope that things are moving. Question @Shallovercome32 and @MAYgirl: did you guys have a 485 filed with spouse pending at the local office from before your VAWA or did you file after?

Hello staypositive, what happens with the people who had a previous I-485 (ex-partner) which was denied because the couple withdrew said application?

Thank you...

I think a new AOS based on the pending i-360 can be filed and then the interview will be scheduled after VAWA approval (waiting time depending on the local office). Sandra once said that it doesn't make a difference regarding wait times for an interview if previous AOS has been pending or a new AOS is filed with/after VAWA petition.

Hello,

But how is that possible? If you look at the official USCIS website, they indicate that they are currently working with the applications filed on September 03, 2018.

I hope that Sandra and the other collaborators can guide us on what to do ....

Hi everyone.. Have all you guys a blessed day.

I apply for VAWA EAD AOS back in september 2018. No answer yet only biometrics.. I have been working by cash a year already, and I declared that on my forms to USCIS.

My question is can I apply for ITIN for taxes ? First my boss ask me about it and second I dont know if I dont do taxes I will not prove good moral of character in front USCIS.. Thanks!

You should file Taxes, it is always good under USCIS eyes. Yes, you can get an ITIN # if you don’t have a SS#

Hello Everyone,

I just returned last night from visiting home. I went through the self identification airport kiosk (not sure if that's what they call them) scanned my greencard, finger prints and then went through to the officer, but was kept waiting in this line a bit as he took the couple before me for further processing and I think he took them aside to look in their bag(s), when he returned and called me next the questions were simple.

Where were you traveling?

What were you doing there?   Visiting my mother.

How long did you stay there? 1 month

Take off your glasses one please (looked at me and the photos on my documents) then scanned my fingerprints.

What are you bringing back with you?  Just my belongings

Did you buy anything?  No, but I received a necklace as a gift.

What's the value?     I don't know.

Did you bring money?   No, just my debit & credit cards.

Ok have a nice day!

Yuppie! Finally you were able to go home to visit your family, Bless your soul and heart 🙌🏼😍
