hi Sandra

I have received RFE on 4th Dec'18 for good moral character which my lawyer has responded on 4th Jan'19 with all required evidences and papers. Its almost 3 weeks now we have submitted RFE response packet but no update at all from USCIS. May I know hoe much time they normally take to update online status about receiving my RFE response packet ? Is government shutdown making the process even more slower down these days ? I am seriously concerned about this matter, please help me. Thanks.

Hi everyone,

I need your help please. I applied for i360 in April 2017. I received an RFE back in August 2018 and responded back in Nov 2018. My case status changed to a new card is being produced on Jan 8 2019. I have received EAD under c31 category on Jan 14, so far it has been few weeks but have not yet received an approval notice. How long does it really take to receive the notice and what should I do in order to receive it.

Thank you in advance

It happened to me too! You need to wait 8 weeks IF you don’t get approval notice make an InfoPass to requested.

Now I just got it in the mail since 10/29/2018 that I got approved.

I did InfoPass on 12/27/2018

I just got it last week on 1/22/2019

I asked your lawyer, he/she should do it!

Average time is 30-90 days, when I responded RFE it took 32 days, here my timeline:

9/07/2018 RFE

9/27/2018 RFE back in USCIS

10/29/2018 Approval

11/29/2018 Lawyer InfoPass for I360

12/27/2018 InfoPass (myself)  to request my NOA for I360

1/22/2019 NOA’s in hand

I hope it helps!

Hang in there, all will be fine 🙌🏼🇺🇸💫

The one on 11/29/2018 my lawyer did, the second one by myself over the phone. I called on 12/13/2018 I left a message, USCIS Officer calles me on 12/17/2018 answering my request and to give me the appointment. You must have paper and pen in hand because they give you a serial number that identifies your request.

FridayGirl@69, would you provide me with that phone number please, or direct me where I can find that phone number?

Sure! You go online click on your application then go to submit a case inquiry than click on either :

case outside normal processing

did not receive notice by mail

did not receive card by mail

did not receive document by mail

or call to 1 800 375 5283

If you go online is much easier because if it doesn’t allowed you to make the appointment they tell you the phone where to call to make InfoPass, mine was in Chicago. Do not be scare to leave a message, they will call you back within 48 hours, I got a call back after 24hrs.

I hope it helps!

You are most welcome! Stay in touch.

If they don't call you back, try again until they answer. It took me 3 times to get hold of an USCIS Officer.

I understood that USCIS did not give information over the phone about the Vawa cases (I-485-through Vawa), I thank you please clarify if I am wrong.

Has anyone in this forum received your EAD after the maximum processing time (5 months) has expired?

Thank you all for your comments!
