Why did you request 2 different EAD?
Under which category did you request both EAD?

the first one was C-14 on august 30th,since i was only eligible to adjust status in october and my ex spouse was a lpr and my visa became current in october so i file 1-485,I-131,and I-765 category C-09 in october 2018 till date i haven’t heard anything from them! But my 1-485 was transferred already in january.

So I understand you did not apply for Vawa?

I would like to know the reason why USCIS delays in some cases more than the 5 months that they set to process the EAD.

Anyone else in the forum that has more than 5 months without USCIS sending you the EAD (C-09)?

Nonyou are not the only one keep fate and try not to stress out just try and believe that it will work out at the end. Ask your congressman to contact USCIS and to ask them to expedite your EAD card.

Hello guys!

I have a question about letter to USCIS. From what I hear when you apply to VAWA you can write a letter to USCIS so they do not close your pending I-485 which all of us applied with our spouses.

Does someone know how to get an example of this letter?

Thank you for any advice!

Hi Everyone,

I came across this website after doing a lot of research. Please Sandra I need your advice.

I am currently on my Legal student status. I got married December 2017 and I am yet to file my i-485 due to school and all. I have gone through a lot in y marriage and my husband want to file for divorce. I will give you a little things about my marriage and please let me know if I qualify for VAWA because I am loosing my mind.

My marriage was sweet from the beginning not until I found out that my husband do bring in a male boyfriend to the house anytime I am out at school. The guy do sleep over in my matrimonial bed anytime I am out and when I come back he will give abusing and insulting me and starving me sexually. He got into a fight with his boyfriend and his boyfriend came over to my apartment to threatening him and me with a knife that involved the police. I was mentally devastated and I was not emotionally stable in school. He got STD from the guy and abandon me at home. I pay the rent every time and he does not contribute to the bills. I finally finished school and got a job in another state. He encouraged me to relocate that he would join me when he sort out his police case with his boyfriend. I relocated November of last year and he December, he started acting up. He stopped picking my calls, on Christmas day he send a message that he wants to file for separation that he is interested in guys,he insults me and call me all sort of names. I traveled over to go see him and we settled it but now it has gotten worst. He stopped picking calls. He said he will not file my papers for me, I called his mum she did not pick.I am emotionally and mentally going crazy. I can focus at my new job. He has my car, he closed down our joint account and withdrew the money,he called me fraud and abandoned me in this new state. I am lonely and I want to enroll for therapist. Please sandra and everyone, what are my options. I am tired of this marriage I want to walk out. I need my Sanity.

Please help a depressed sister.

I am so sorry to hear about everything you are going through, but I have to be honest with you, cheating is not ground for VAWA, and having a bisexual spouse is ground for VAWA either. You have to prove abuse showing circumstances where your husband controlled, isolated, degraded, threatened or humiliated you, but you should not connect the circumstances of the abuse with his infidelity. I had at least 20 people from visa journey who contacted me after their cases were denied,   I  didn't file VAWA,  and when I read the denial reasons, I would say 40%  were about the spouse being bisexual and the other cases about infidelity and USCIS denied stating that infidelity and being bisexual are not grounds for VAWA.

If you have situations where he isolated you from your family or friends, often made remarks about your culture or appearance, if he was often threatening with deportation, if he often humiliated you or degraded you etc then you may have a VAWA case, but if your psychological states you are suffering depression because your husband was cheating on you or because you discovered he is bisexual then USCIS will not approve your case.  You can say I felt humiliated when I discovered he is bisexual and cheating on me, well USCIS will consider that you had an unpleasant marriage, but not an abusive marriage.

You may have a VAWA case, but I am giving my opinion considering what you posted here.

USCIS requested to make a new mediacal and no need to submit to them right now. They notified that i wiould submit in person when i come in to get  interview.

Got it! My lawyer said that to me too.

Once you get approval they will send you to medical, I went into link for Dr approved by USCIS near by, the cost is between $600-$200dls out of the 3 only 1 accepts insurance so when is time for me I will go with the one that accepts insurance.

Dr will give you an envelope sealed, do not open it because it is your to take to the interview so the USCIS Officer will opened it then. I hope this last info helps too to

be prepared.

Hi everyone,

I need your help please. I applied for i360 in April 2017. I received an RFE back in August 2018 and responded back in Nov 2018. My case status changed to a new card is being produced on Jan 8 2019. I have received EAD under c31 category on Jan 14, so far it has been few weeks but have not yet received an approval notice. How long does it really take to receive the notice and what should I do in order to receive it.

Thank you in advance
